"Unfortunately, even if I was desperate and lazy enough to resort to this method, no one at Eurogamer appears to have reviewed NBA '07 last year. I can only assume that my fellow editors were too busy playing football, cricket, rugby, snooker, darts or any one of a dozen sports which are more popular than basketball in the UK. But we like to give everything a fair crack , so we thought we'd see how one the US' most popular games is fairing these days."

It's better than last year's game, but it's still not worth playing.

The framework of an incredible title is definitely here with NBA 08. The Upside Progression system is a deep and engaging way to play the game, an expanded NBA Replay mode improves on the groundbreaking mode, and the addition of commentary adds to the title. However, old gameplay issues, control problems and a regression of the court action to unrealistic action hampers what would've otherwise been an incredible game. It's too bad, because it's an enjoyable game, if you can overlook these problems.
