WarHawk

Warhawk is an Online only game. There's no offline mode whatsoever. Don't even contemplate buying the game if you're not online with the PS3 as it would be like buying fuel for your bicycle.

When I first started playing Warhawk I wasn't too impressed. The layout is unusual and everything just seemed odd. However for some strange reason the more you play it the more you love it. It's the kind of game that you'd hate if you just play one or two rounds and leave unsatisfied.
There's also an element of luck involved too. If you're unlucky to be playing your first game with an awful team or even worse a team of Team Killers then you're first impression will be a pretty bad one.
Because the game is online only you pretty much get thrown right in the deep end. It may seem overwhelming and confusing but it's pretty straight forward once you get a few games behind you.

You really have to give it a chance. It WILL grow on you.

Warhawk is a war-themed online-only game where you and many other people are put onto environments to kill each other, while sometimes seizing some places and even work together with other players to accomplish your mission. But in the end, it usually turns into a race for the nearest jet and killing everybody in sight. Available via PSN or on a blu-ray disc, Warhawk will give new meaning to absolutely thrilling multiplayer action while tossing you into a warzone with explosions coming in the thousands every minute. Besides, this is the sort of game that many first person shooters turn out to be anyway, but this one doesn't buggerise around with a bloody half-assed campaign mode! Let's hop to it right now before I rant on and on about Halo.

For the PS2 or classic XBOX users, Warhawk is guaranteed to evoke a nostalgic feeling within you if you ever played the stunningly good Star Wars Battlefront series. Warhawk is a third person shooter that feels like a polished update of the classic Star Wars gem. It is multiplayer only and there are no fees to play online except your internet bill. However, you can also play split screen with up to three other friends. Warhawk is situated a little into the future in a fantasy world. A battle rages between two armies, the Eucadians and the Chernovans, who are both equal in sense of gameplay terms. The only thing that differs is their design and the designs of their aircrafts. The Eucadians take on the appearance of a rogue faction, you could even say they represented the rebel alliance from Star Wars, and the Chernovans don plated metal armour and look slightly more kickass than the Eucadians but when you're knocking each others hawks out of the sky with homing missiles none of this...
