THE GOOD: Excellent story, good music, fun fighting, characters have a good personality, and just an overall great game.
THE BAD: It is better to just get Final Fantasy Chronicles.
SUMMARY: Now this game bings back some good memories. This game was one of the true great original RPGs back in the day. So when I heard of this I had to try it out. This game has a wonderful story along with good gameplay. The music is wonderful as well. I recommend gettng Final Fanasy Chronicles instead because this game is hard to find.
THE GOOD: This game has a wonderful story that you get caught up in and don't want too stop playing.
THE BAD: The only bad thing about this game is that the loading time it takes for the playstation, that the SNES didn't.
SUMMARY: I think this it the best game ever, and you should buy it with Final Fantasy Chronicles. Really worth the money. Beside the wonderful story other good thing in the game is the soundtrack(music), the best in any game. And the characters are also created with beauty, who are done dy the same artist as Dragon Ball series and all the Dragon Quest games. If you are looking for a game to buy, this is a great one.
THE GOOD: -Excellent utilization of 32-bit graphics, very colorful -Music -Complex and storyline -Battle system enjoyable -Double and triple techs -Characters unique and mostly important to the story -Long game with several hours of sidequests and unique weapons and accesories
THE BAD: -Nothing
SUMMARY: Chrono Trigger was, without a doubt, the best game of its time and continues to remain a classic hit which can be found in the library of any hardcore RPG fan. But you don't even have to be into RPGs to like this game. Its overall playability, awesome storyline, and the New Game + feature is enough to motivate anyone to play this game through and enjoy it.
In this day of high quality 256-bit graphics, it might be easy to get turned off by this game's graphics. However, in the 3 years that I've owned this game, I've enjoyed the graphics despite eye candy like Final Fantasy X and Xenosaga: Episode I around. They're very...
THE GOOD: superb soundtrack and battle system magus
THE BAD: nothing bad about this game
SUMMARY: besides final fantasy VI (III in the U.S.)this is one of the best games i have ever played. it has all the qualities of a true rpg and should be rated as one of the best games ever. everything from the graphics to the character animation rocks. chrono trigger has everything an rpg nowadays should have and to me is one of the best games ever. ending quote: the soundtrack is one of the best, right beside final fantasy VI
THE GOOD: Excellent Storyline. Best Graphics of its time, My favorite, even today!
THE BAD: This game is very hard to find.
SUMMARY: I cannot see why this game was dissed. If you play it on SNES it will not be in a foreign language. It has good graphics considering that it was made in 1995 (I think). As I have told you, this is my absolute favorite game of all time. The only downside is that it is hard to find for SNES.
In my opionion, this is a very good story line. You start off by being woken up by your mom. She then tells you that you were looking forward towards the Millenial Fair. You get out of bed and you go to the fair. You soon meet a girl named Marle and she comes with you to look around the fair. You soon go up to show at the top of the fair. You're friend, Lucca, tells you to try the telepod out. You goon it and you get teleported to the other one. Then Marle wants to. She gets on and her pendant glows. Then she disappears into a time warp! Her pendant is left behind. You put the pendant on and do the same. You get transported in a time warp and you land somewhere. You later find out you're in 600 A.D.! The story goes on from there. You travel through different eras searching for different things. Then you eventually find out about Lavos. He is a HUGE porcupinelike (sp?) creature! You learn that he landed on Earth in 60,000,000 B.C.! He then goes...
THE GOOD: this game has really cool "movies" that make you feel like your watchin DBZ or somthing, it has the same story as the original chrono trigger on SNES (i own it) and it has a final fantasy feel to it. kinda like a mix of FF and secret of mana or something.
THE BAD: .... thiers bad to this game? wait yea umm.. wait... oh right maybe the price of the game i mean its so good you should just get it for free but they have to make money so paying for its the only bad part lol
SUMMARY: over all i say this is a must have game for any ff fan becuas eof course its made by the best of the best... square. any RPG fan that doesnt like this game well isnt an rpg fan. if you dont have the game i wont ruin it for you but one name tells why you must atleast see it .... magus!
THE GOOD: Varied, colourful and more beleivable than other Square games, this is one of the greatest RPG's ever.
THE BAD: Can almost get depressing when you're in the future, that is one bit they definatly should've left out.
SUMMARY: Originally released on the Super Nintendo (it is that version that I'm rating here), this game was considered to pretty much be the greatest console RPG of all time. Do I agree?
Sort of. At the time there was no better RPG on any of the consoles (I'll exclude the majestic Zelda: A Link to the past, as its more of an adventure game), many shouted Final Fantasy III. It was a good game, but could'nt beat CT.
Chrono Trigger might appear small - The world map only has about 3 seperate locations, but when you get into it, you realise that there is more than just one map - In fact, there are about 4. This is because, due to a freak accident, you travel back and forth in time between whole...
THE GOOD: The Game play, Sory line was the best part, battle system, group attacks, skills, bosses were semi hard....
THE BAD: nothing at all
SUMMARY: This game was the best for the SNES system, no other rpg or game were better than this one, then they rereleased it to make it popular, I played it back on the super nintendo and it was the best game at the time..because of the great stoy line, Magus and Frog my two favorite chacters and Chrono was cool but not the best...but one of my favorite features about this game was the double and triple team attack skills, those were a very good idea, but some RPG's did'nt catch onto that, some did and alot did'nt for an example of what game did was Persona 2...and last but not least, the bosses, those things were'nt to hard but they were semi...hard..:laughs: I liked just thefact that they even made this game and a really awesome sequel to it, by making Chrono Cross...
THE GOOD: This is a really fun game to play, with a great plot, interesting characters, cool places/time periods to visit, interesting enemies, and bosses, and fun minigames. I really like how it's connected to Chrono cross, although some of it makes things confusing.
THE BAD: The levels become repetitive fast, and are somtimes confusing. The enemies also become repetitive, and there aren't enough different kinds of enemies to fight. The elements in Chrono Cross are terribly missed here. Also, the music, while good, isn't as good as CC.
SUMMARY: A great RPG in it's time, still very good, but not to be compared to chrono cross. I like the story, the people, places and fighting. If you liked Chrono Cross, you should get this, and if you like Squaresoft's games, then you'll love this one. It's definitly worth getting if you like fun, long RPGs.
