SUMMARY:
Final Fantasy VII really set the standard for all future RPG's. People always say the graphics are outdated, but I don't like to judge graphics by today's standards. I look at graphics by their time era, and as far as I'm concerned, Final Fantasy VII had modern graphics at the time. People used Final Fantasy VII as a building block for modern RPG's.

Compared to other Final Fantasy's, VII had the best idea for magic with the Materia system. It really allowed you to customize your characters and make them more powerful. The music from Final Fantasy VII really sticks out for me too. I often went to bed with the theme music stuck in my head. However, the storyline is what really makes Final Fantasy VII successful. Any game that has such an engrossing storyline, that it takes you three discs of total dedication, is definitely worth your time.

The best thing to come out of Final Fantasy were the characters from Final Fantasy VII. Cloud, Vincent, and Sephiroth are probably the most memorable characters ever. A few of my friends can't get into the classic RPG's because they have only played modern games. I find that the people who like Final Fantasy VII the best, are the people that grew up on a Playstation and got started early with the classic RPG.

I find many things to be unique and kind of cool with Final Fantasy VII. For example, you can go through the game and not get the extra characters. Also, the W-Item duplication trick is very unique to Final Fantasy VII. I find it cool that you can use different combinations of Materia to make your characters seemingly invincible. Final Fantasy VII was also the first game where I saw the Limit Break, which is one of the best parts of the game for me.

If you really think about it, not many RPG's are re-playable. That is, it's not quite the same if you try to beat it again. Only the best of the best is worth spending the time to beat the game multiple times. That's what makes Final Fantasy VII so awesome. You always hear about how many times people have beat it. I don't think you can compare a classic games to modern ones because each game had it's standards for it's time era. So I have come to the conclusion that Final Fantasy VII is the best game ever to be released from Playstation.
