I enjoyed everything from the start till the end of this RPG. However, my favorite is the Sol Tower and a disco dancing contest. IT ROCKS! Battle system is so much different from all other RPGs and is really refreshing.
It may be a phrase, but you can identify yourself with your characters. My favorite is super-cute Noa! However, Gala and Vahn also rule. Perhaps the cutest RPG of all time. But don't get me wrong, some battles are very difficult. Very. Don't let it stop you - Legend of Legaia is worth every minute of your time.

![]() If there was ever an RPG that was overlooked because Final Fantasy hogged the spotlight at any given time, why not look back at when Final Fantasy was able to do it without too many problems; the dawn of the PS1. Final Fantasy 7 broke the mold by introducing some 3D graphics into the RPG genre, as well as a fairly compelling storyline and neat turn-based combat. However, there's a game that manages to do a far better job of it, but unfortunately, not enough people are talking about it because FF7 and FF8 overshadowed it. Yeah, this one game managed a more complex battle system and a kickass storyline to boot. This game is, of course, Legend of Legaia, for the PS1. Legend of Legaia is about these things called Seru that, if fused with a human, can make them superhuman. These superhumans have to venture into the mist and destroy it and whoever...
Legend of Legia is a 3-D RPG with some innovative features, the fighting system is completely redesigned from any other RPG. The graphics are pretty impressive, and the in battle graphics are the best that I have seen any RPG lay down. The character design could use a little help, but most RPG’s do. The sound system is lacking anything real great, and quite frankly is somewhat of a downfall. Controlling your character is real easy to do, and the controls during a fight are down right innovative and fun. These features can lead to a stupid game, or an extremely fun game, Legend of Legia has turned out to be one of the more fun ones that came out. Legend of Legia is another great demo on this CD.

THE GOOD:
Excelent style of fighting. And the story was good. The World isnt that big, but they sure fit in a lot in there. Fighting Graphics are awsome. No equiping armor and seeing no difference. Great Magic. THE BAD: SUMMARY:
THE GOOD:
Excellent gameplay. Challenging enemies(which I needed since many role-playing games I've played lately, are easy.) Boss music is unique and done well. (Same with all of the game's music, but boss music especially.) Great story, too. THE BAD: SUMMARY:
I didn't expect much from Legend of Legaia, save for its above-average difficulty, when I pulled it out of the discount shelf at my local K-Mart. Several dozen hours later I asked myself if my opinion of the game changed, and the answer was a great thunderous ''YES!!''. It isn't without reason that Legend of Legaia was named the third-best RPG of 1999. This game is most certainly a classic.
Now, before you run out to buy it (as if any of you actually listens to what I say...), let me warn you: this is a very slow, leisurely, even tedious game. Don't tell me that I didn't warn you. What's this? ''REALISM''?! The first thing that will impress you about the game is its interesting turn-based battle engine. For starters, there is no attack command on the menu. Depending on each character's speed, you can order them to perform a varying number of kicks/punches during his or her turn. As the character's level grows, you can input more and more commands per turn.... Lowest Prices |
