THE GOOD:Very good graphics and decent sound.
THE BAD:
Slow gameplay. No blood in the game. Poor controls. Many moves either altered or removed altogether.
SUMMARY:
Hot on the heels of the ultra-controversial arcade game, the SNES version of Mortal Kombat really paled in comparision to the original. For starters, although the graphics and sound compared well to the arcade version, there was much less detail, many moves had been altered or removed (too violent/gory) and most controversial of all, the blood was removed, or more specificaly colored gray instead of red. The characters still showed plenty of detail but also looked a little more blurry/pixelated up close. The sounds are really hit & miss-the voices & sound effects converted rather well, but aren't arcade-perfect and seemed to be off-sync sometimes, especially when a player repeatedly attacked an opponent.
