This was always a fun game to play, originally as a rental, but eventually got a copy of my own. I remember the completion date for a dubious reason: it was nine days after I had gotten sick and puked in my mom's christmas flowers [on Christmas Eve 1996]. It's gross but it's a true story. My mom had to take over in the midst of the Megasmilax battle. Obviously not one of my better Christmas-or video game-memories, but the silver lining is that I haven't puked since.
The gameplay is simplistic and easy to pick up on with a nice battle system, characters, a Bruce Lee reference (no joke), and some timely humor.
What bogged me down was that password segment in the Sunken Ship; it took hours to figure that one out. Between that and finding my way to Bean Valley is why my game time is inflated above the 20 hour mark. I can definitely get below that today.
Not only would I play this game again, I would like to see this game either get upgraded or to have a sequel or prequel made based off of this game.
