SUMMARY:
When I first played this game, I admit I was baffled with what to do or where to go. However, as I progressed throughout the game, I was overwhelmed with excitement yet frustrated whenever I got a new upgrade. The music in an underground level called Brinstar Green (For there is another Brinstar known as Red), the beat caught me by surprise with how the music producers came up with that kind of music. Especially when the music fitted each boss perfectly, my favorite boss theme was the one called Spore. As you start in the game, you will meet it shortly. Speaking of bosses, there has been one that gave me quite a difficult time defeating it. The boss had a few unexpected moves and hardly any disadvantage until I finally heard of one but by then, I had lost possession of the game. The level Norfair had startled me because the character Samus Aran had been affected by an environmental hazard which was the heat spawned by the lava. That was until I found an upgrade to resist the heat although there was another level where the environment had some effects. The effect was gravitation hindered in water so I was merely furious and attempted to destroy the game but couldn't because this had been a favorite to all, especially my friends.
There were some glitches that I had found which unintentionally made the game even better because the glitches had effects on my enemies which prove to be strong but not worthy of Samus' arsenal weaponry such as Plasma or Ice. The weapons were unlike any modern weapons we have now because the game weaponry included extremely explosive bombs, bouncing ball, gravity resistance upgrades, and an attack equipped with the upgrade that is used automatically. Especially the high-jump boots which I had thought were boots that jumped without any exerted forces. There were a few things in the end thought you wished had never happened and thought you could avoid it, but later, you find out it was all going to happen anyway. Some scenes in this game could have either gone better or worse, but it was still an impressive game all thanks to the pre-sequels Metroid and Metroid II: The Return Of Samus. It is also because of this game that Metroid Prime exists and so does Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Of all the dazzling effects, my favorite was the speed-booster which was the best upgrade in my opinion. Graphics had been very delighting for a now retro game system of NINTENDO. As i end this review, I would like to thank NINTENDO for a wonderfully exciting game.
