Yoshi's Island | 4.5 0 comments |

THE GOOD: You get to use Yoshi instead of Mario. Mario is a baby (in this game at least). Bowser is also a baby (in this game at least). Bosses look good.THE BAD: Some of the bosses look too easy. It's a shame the other Mario SNES games (besides Super Mario RPG) lose the zing this game and probably SMRPG has. SUMMARY: Lastability: 6/10. A little too short, but some bosses' difficulty makes up for it. Graphics: 6/10. Cartoony, but you'd expect that. Sound: 6/10. Weird how Yoshi's double jump sounds or the egg or something like that. Gameplay: 8/10. Bit repetitive, but so are all SNES games. You suck some guy up then they become an egg which you throw at yellow stuff or even at enemies. Overall: 4.5/5.0. Great SNES game. Buy a $20 SNES and a $2 game like this and then you'll have a ball. |

THE GOOD: You get to play the entire game as Yoshi.THE BAD: It's a little on the short side. SUMMARY: Yoshi's Island is a totaly new idea for a Mario game and you play through th whole thing as Yoshi with baby Mario on your back and you have to protectt him by not letting him out of your site and going towards the end of the level. The graphics are pretty good especcialy the bubble that baby Mario floats in when you loose site of him. The sounds are really good except when baby Mario crys it can get really annoying but the music is good too. The actual storyline itself is a neat idea although the game is a little on the short side and there arn't many secrets.
Overall this is a really great idea and great and one of the last ones that came out for the Super Nintendo. |

THE GOOD: It contains a sense of challenge and it contains a great sense of fun. If you love to play a game for a long period of time play this game. To this day this game is still good and provides great levels and enemies you face. The weapons and power ups you get in this game are awesome but i thought they could have added more of them but still it was pretty good.THE BAD: This one was easier than the first Super Mario World. It was challenging but not as challenging as the first one. Also I thought some of the levels were a little crummy. I thought that this game was a little plain since everything corresponded to Yoshi and i thought Mario and LUigi could have been more involved in it. SUMMARY: Overall I give this game a 8.5 out of 10. Get it as fast as you can because its pretty rare and i am sure if your a mario fan you will enjoy this game. |
