"The motion controls don't fundamentally change this movie-licensed platformer, but they don't get in the way either, and the adventure is still a breezily fun one."

"Given that Ice Age 2 is intended for a younger audience, it's not a terribly long or challenging game. Don't be surprised if the adventure is finished after about four or five hours. That's not too bad for a kids' game, but given the $50 price tag, you're not getting a lot of bang for your buck. Especially when you consider that the non-motion sensing version of the game for other systems currently retails for almost half that price. There are plenty of worse games based on animated movies out there, but there are also plenty of better platformers than this one."

"Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is a really fun game, but it is held back by one major flaw: its length. It takes only a couple of hours to beat this game if you have any gameplay experience. However, the game is enjoyable and children looking for a new adventure will be enthralled by it."

"...this is very likely the best version of the title out there and if you like the franchise or are merely looking for something appropriate for your kids, Vivendi's platformer is a great choice."
