NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

It may not have the same magic as its lauded predecessor, but Journey of Dreams is still a fun, if inconsistent platformer that positively drips with style.

"While all this sounds like classic platformer fodder, NiGHTS is a game about flight. Will and Helen fuse (or dualize, as the game puts it) with NiGHTS and take to the skies of the gorgeous side-scrolling dream worlds, flying fluidly through the air leaving behind a trail of twinkly sparks."

"The wide variety of simplistic (and somewhat clunky) control schemes ensures that anyone can pick up the game. While there are two story modes, they are both utterly brief and unsatisfying. The aerial missions are incredibly well crafted and a blast to play, but there are nowhere near enough of them to make up for all the crappy filler missions you’ll have to endure."
