THE GOOD:
-Awesome Story Line, with Dramaticness!
-Evcellent New characters with improved features
-Not Too hard or Too Easy
-3D
-Graphics
-Music

THE BAD:
Nothing!!

SUMMARY:
Super Paper Mario is an excellent game because of the perfection. It is by far the perfect game ever!

Super Paper Mario is a game where Count Bleck tries to erase the worlds with a dark ominous void. His minions battle against Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser and the void gets larger and larger. As Mario goes through 9 different worlds challenging many battles and succeeding he learns a secret from a young pixl. In the end the Pixl ends up to know Count Bleck and the dramaticness really warmed me up.

Story Line
In Super Paper Mario the story line is very dramatic. It features mainly how a young pixl knows an evil beast. It's really heart warming because of how epic it can be at sometimes. The emotion in the game is one of the best reasons why this game's soo good! There's romance, betrayal, and happiness which most of the paper mario games have. It's like that they're battling so hard and in the end it's all lovey dovey! I highly recommend that you purchase this game

Characters
In this game there aren't the regular cute little characters, but new pixls! Pixls are like little floaty things that can help you proceed through the game. They help you throughout the game and are an amazing new feature to the new Paper Mario series.

Difficulty
The Difficulty isn't that hard and it isn't too easy either. You don't need to work that hard/easy to beat this game and I personally love how it's kind of in the middle of difficulty!

3D
Yeah, Paper mario is turning 3D but not 100% 3D. Once you obtain the ability to turn 3d you will be able to find many hidden items as well as see many wonderful things!

Graphics
Well the paper mario graphics are basic but they're still very good! I think that when it's in 3D version the graphics are a little bit better but overall the graphics would score a 4.8/5 for me!

Music
The music is really good and it's really epic as well! I like the music a lot because it matches the background of the scene for the game. If it's in a ice area it sounds as if it would be in an ice area!

The sound affects are also good. If you step on a different piece of land it will change which is good!

The 3rd Paper Mario game is finally out! If you loved the Paper Mario RPGs, and can't wait for more, then you might be a tad disappointed when you see Super Paper Mario, for the Wii.

Super Paper Mario is not an RPG, but rather, a platformer. A 3-D PLATFORMER. Now, if you like platformers, I have no more to say to you. However, if you dislike platformers, it does not matter much anymore. The game is unique, rich, and has a lush storyline. The plot is not just, 'Oh no, let's kill everything and beat the game.' It has real puzzles, and interesting dialogue and maybe witty at some point.

The game features all the basic characters, Mario, Peach, Bowser, Luigi. Now, you may think, 'Oh no, not another Bowser kidnapped Peach and now we have to save her game again.' Those four characters are playable, even Peach and Bowser! Each member of the party, or hero, if you prefer, has a unique talent. Peach can float and block attacks, Mario can flip into the 3rd dimension, Bowser can stomp and breath fire, and Luigi can super jump into the air to deal massive damage. Pixls, also your allies, are the key to getting forward the game. There are 12 Pixls in total, each doing a specific function. I could talk about them all day, but now is not the time for that.

Anyways, besides the neat characters and fun storyline, this brings us to one important new feature. Flipping. Flipping is an ability used by Mario and taught by a magician. Mario can flip to 3-D now, and the whole 2-D world changes and alternates. What may look like a wall in the 2-D world might actually be a statue! Flipping can help you solve otherwise impossible troubles, gain items, fight new enemies, and meet new characters. However, you cannot stay in the 3rd dimension that long. Once Mario flips, a bar starts tickng down and if it becomes empty, Mario will lose a health point and the bar will refill. The flipping is the most important and interesting feature in the game, probably.

Now, onto the review~!

Gameplay: 10/10

Now, I have to say, this is almost flawless! The game has neat puzzles that require you to use a Pixl or character, or even Mario's flipping! Sometimes, you can't progress if you do not talk to a certain NPC with a certain character and Pixl. The game always features new prizes and hidden areas for the gamer to find. Who knows? There might be a secret behind the kitchen door! Overall, the gameplay is astounding and fun at the same time.

Graphics: 8/10

Well, I have pretty low standards for graphics, as long as it's fun, it's okay. The papery look may not appeal to the more mature gamers, but this adds a fun and unique way of moving and flipping. Paper can peel off or pencil in magically. The graphics are great for a 2-D platformer.

Sound: 7/10

Music that matches the background is a must for all games. The music changes in almost each chapter, and it's pretty easy to remember. While it's not catchy, it is pretty good to hum along to while playing.

Difficulty: 8.5/10

This game is on the medium range. If all you want to do is just beat it, it'll still take quite a while for you to beat it. Almost each situation has you flipping and using new characters and Pixls. Some puzzles are easy to solve, or you may have to memorize a chart or diagram. The game is a bit straightforward, but it's fun nevertheless.

Replay Value: 9/10

You can continue playing after you finish the game, I believe. After you beat story mode, you can do lots of new sidequests. Such as collecting Catch Cards, make food using recipes with Saffron or Dyllis, or play mini-games in the basement of Flopside using the Wiimote.

Final Score: 8.5/10

The game is fairly entertaining and is bound to keep you playing for a while. The game lacks some of the more interesting features though, such as the Trouble Center, but makes up for it with new features. As usual, the Pit of 100 Trials is here, but it seems to be harder than last time. Now, you have to flip cleverly and defeat all the enemies on the floor to aquire the key and escape the level. The game is fun and if you want to rent it first, rent. It's either you hate it or you love it.

THE GOOD:
Super Paper Mario combines all the excitement of Paper Mario with the fun of the classic Mario Bros games. Explore 9 different worlds, and dozens of fantastic environments. There are lots of people to talk to, lots of things to collect, and plenty of side quests. You are able to play as four different characters, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and of course, Mario, each with their own special abilities. Find hidden treasures using your unique ability to "flip" from 2-D to 3-D. Have lots of fun as you experience the uniqueness of the characters and all of the whimsically amusing enemies. Use multiple partner "Pixls" to help you on your journey. They can allow you to shrink, stomp, and even disappear. Use them to your advantage in order to defeat enemies, discover hidden areas, and collect all seven Pure Hearts in order to thwart the evil plans of Count Bleck... or so you would think.

Summary:
-Play as four classic Mario characters.
-Rescue and utilize the special talents of various "Pixl" partners.
-Flip from 2-D to 3-D in a flash.
-Explore many different worlds and environments.
-Has lots of side quests.
-It is a fairly long game, and is also funny and a great experience to play.
-Solve puzzles and defeat enemies in the classic Mario Bros style.

THE BAD:
The puzzles and enemies can be very easy at times, and may not completely satisfy a hardcore gamer. The storyline is not very deep, and the graphics can be childish and just plain weird. This game also has many differences from the first two games in the Paper Mario series. The biggest difference is the exclusion of the turn-based battle system, where you appear on a stage and take turns fighting with every enemy you encounter. This can be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you would enjoy the most, but I personally enjoyed the previous battle system.

Summary:
-Can be too easy sometimes.
-Storyline not very deep.
-Graphics are a bit childish and are overall not very well.
-Lots of differences from previous Paper Mario games.
-No turn-based battle system like the previous games (can be good or bad).

SUMMARY:
This game lacks what the previous Paper Mario games had, but it has replaced those with lots of new ideas and concepts. It has fun characters and lots of things to do. If you were a fan of the first two Paper Marios, then you will likely enjoy this one, even though it does have a lot of differences. This is a very good experience, and for those of you who like this kind of game, it is a must buy.

THE GOOD:
It brings back the old Mario way adventure games, such as classic Super Mario Brothers and Super Mario World. It also brings us 4 characters to play as such as Mario, Princess Peach , Bowser and Luigi. The music is alright, they could have done it better, but its pretty ok.

Now with the story mode, this game has a decent and fun story mode. Control Mario has he saves the worlds from Count Bleck and his minions.

There's also the new Wii remote controls and features make the game original.

2D and 3D switch over: This game is the first game to feature both 2D and 3D in the same game, as you can flip dimension's in the game.

Special Moves: Each character and Pixls have there own special ability, which makes the game more complex and strategic then the other Paper Mario games.

THE BAD:
The Graphics: Even if this is on a next generation console, the graphics we're poorely made that the last two prequals, they should had put more work on the graphics, rather then the story mode.

Dialogues: This game has long dialogues so that you might lose interest in the game.

Finding: Finding someone/something is almost base on the game, you can lose interest in the game by finding some hidden items or Pixls.

Story Mode: The story mode was a bit rushed, they we're concentrated on Lord Blumiere's and Lady Timpani's story throught the story was great but Count Bleck's minions showed up all the time which can make you lose interest in the game just by fighting them three times.

The Bosse's: When I first heard about the game and its new style of gameplay. I thought the bosse's where gonna be difficult to beat, however I was wrong the bosse's are very easy and simple to beat. Thus, makes you lose interest in the game.

Puzzles: This game has alot of puzzles, either you had to switch Pixls or dimension's or find a important item, it was rather boring doing them. It will make you lose interest in the game.

SUMMARY:
Super Paper Mario, a game that everyone was seeking throught since its announcement in May 2006 brings us the old NES/SNES games battle system back and is slighty different from the two previous Paper Mario games. This game shows us new features, such as "Pixls" little companions instead of the old fashion way partners and 4 main characters. Super Paper Mario also has different gameplay manuvers. The new addition of the Wii remote makes the game original and the controls are simple for new gamers and oldies to the Paper Mario series. However, I fell they should have put on more work on the game itself then the story mode, I feel that the game was rushed.

Either way, this game is great for some old classic style Mario games, but if you prefer the old way of the Paper Mario games. This is not the game for you.

Overall Score:

8.5/10, this game is good in occasions even if some of the puzzles and levels get boring after a while. This game can be fun to play it daily.

Wii  Super Paper Mario. Good Buy, or Bad Buy? 4.9

THE GOOD:
The story line presents good quality, featuring between chapter insight on Count Bleck and the mysterious Blumnire and Lady Timpani. Very addictive, If you beat the main game, Nintendo gives you even more challenging tasks. Example, getting all of the Catch Cards.

THE BAD:
If you are VERY excited to get to one area of the story line, you are blocked by a wave of talking. The characters babble on and on sometimes and you will get very bored and lose interest.

SUMMARY:
Super Paper Mario is worth your money. It is a side scrolling game, meaning that most of the time you will just be on one side of the path (2D). It is also RPG themed. You get a certain amount of points when you defeat a boss or enemy. The points go to your Grand Total. The more points you have, the higher you level up! When you level up, it either increases your attack or your health. Your health (HP) determines how many hits you can take. If you have 30 HP, then you can take 30 1 point attacks, or 15 2 point attacks etc. Unfortunately, the game has a darker theme than other games in the series. With the main antagonist wanting the world to end, you might be intimidated. But, on the positive side, the game will challenge you, but it won't baffle you enough to go out and buy a strategy guide. This game also has a wide array of different abilities. Mario, the main character, can go from 2D to 3D, which means you won't ALWAYS, be on one side of the path. Mario isn't the only Star Nintendo character playable, but I won't reveal who the others are. Mario or the others have different companions with them on his journey too. He meets up with several Pixls. These Pixls will let Mario use different abilities. The Pixl abilities vary from shrinking, to exploding, to even playing music! The Pixl's are always behind you. The main Pixl, Tippi, never leaves you. Behind Tippi is a minor Pixl, the ones with different abilities. You will be sent to different worlds, each consisting of 4 chapters (levels). Each has a title, like "Afoot the Foothills" or "The Sands of Yold". The Chapter numbers look like X-x. This meaning 1-3 or 6-2, all the way up to 8-4. The chapters consist of different terrains, varying from desert to the clouds to even Outer Space! After you finish the game, there are other tasks. Catch Cards are one of them. There are 256 in all, each with a different Mario character, including Pixls, enemies from the game, helpful non-playable characters, bosses, and surprise characters you wouldn't expect! The Catch Cards have rankings, Common, Super, and Special. When you have a Catch Card of an enemy, you do double the damage to that enemy. The other tasks are cooking to increase your recipe list and finding all of the treasures (Gold Bar etc.). In terms of enemy and boss difficulty, not very hard. And for those of you people who want a very big challenge, there is one place that will literally scare you since it is so hard. And for the Cheat Code people, not very many secrets, sorry.

All in all, I promise you that if you purchase this game, you will be very deeply satisfied. Plus, you can brag to your friends that you got it.

Rating: VERY GOOD!

Wii  An Excellent Combination 4.8

THE GOOD:
- Great mix of platforming and RPG elements

- Great sense of humor

- 3d elements are new and fun

THE BAD:
- Long dialogues seem tedious

- Graphics are a bit outdated.

SUMMARY:
Paper Mario is a very defined sub-series in the Mario franchise. In the previous titles, you control a paper-thin Mario as he defeats numerous enemies on his quest to save the world. What made Paper Mario so unique was it's RPG style of play; once you encounter an enemy on the map it turns into a battle arena, with a turn based style of play. And although this style of play worked well in the first installment, many gamers complained that the second game was too close to the original. So, Nintendo did a complete overhaul on the Paper Mario franchise, and the result is Super Paper Mario for the Wii.

Super Paper Mario takes everything that was good about the previous titles and presents it in a fresh new way. The turn based battle system is out the window; now all battle take place in real time. However, some RPG elements remain; after defeating enemies you gain experience and also gain levels. Also, there are items that you can use that boost your health, cure status ailments, and even attack your enemies.

Super Paper Mario is mostly played as a side scroller, which makes the game very nostalgic at parts. In fact, the first level is based off of the first level from Super Mario Bros. which is a great homage to anyone who played the original.

An example of the game's side scrolling nature.

Even though most of the game is played in 2D, there are moments where turning to 3D is essential. To do this, simply press the A button and the world will be flipped, revealing a hidden path, a hidden block, or anything that may help you discover which way to go next.

Flipping to 3D may reveal a hidden path.

In this installment, Mario isn't the only character at your disposal. Throughout the game, Mario will find Peach, Bowser, and Luigi, all who have unique abilities that aid you in your quest. Peach, for example, can use her umbrella to float across large gaps that would be otherwise impossible to get across. Utilizing each character is a necessity if you wish the complete the game.

On top of that, during the game you will come across Pixls, which are creatures that aid you on your journey. Each Pixl has their own unique ability that will help you. Boomer, for example, is able to blast holes in cracked walls. If you ever get stuck, remember that you have many Pixls that could do the trick.

The writing of this game is top notch, with great humor throughout. Like in previous Paper Mario titles, every boss battle is lined with jokes and hilarity, and it really adds to the overall experience. My only complaint is that sometimes shuffling through the longer bits of dialogue gets tedious.

The bosses may be hard, but they are always funny

Overall this game is fantastic. The puzzles are great, the humor is great, and the gameplay is great. Although the graphics could have been polished a bit, they definitely do not bring down such a powerhouse title. Please do not miss Super Paper Mario for the Wii.

Wii  A Paper-Tastic Adventure! 4.8

A Paper-Tastic Adventure!

Super Paper Mario is the 3rd sequal in the Paper Mario series. Some are worried about how the Gamplay would be in this game, but I say it's great. Unlike the old Paper Mario games, in this one the gameplay isw not turn based. It's like an old Mario platformer with RPG elemints. You gain levels by gaining points whitch you receive after beating each enemy. Your score bar is located at the top of your playing screan. After you beat the game there is still a lot to do like collecting all 256 cards of the characters and enemys in the game and to do some treasure hunting for prizes. This game has well over 40 hours worth of play time. The game also has some very hard puzzles that can keep you busy and maybe make you go running to a FAQ.

The graphics are made to look like paper, so I can't diss the game about the graphics because they do infact, look like paper. It's also very colorful witch I think is a nice tuch to help me enjoy the graphics even more. The character designs are very nice aswell. Oh, and if you press 1 you can flip into 3d, flipping into 3d helps to solve a lot of the puzzles in the game.

To make the plot short, the evil magician Count Blech forced a marrage between Princess Peach and Bowser. When they are pronouced "Princess and Koopa" The world basicaly is about to come to an end. A huge black void appears and gets bigger throughout the game. You have to collect all 8 of the Pure Hearts to make the void dissapear, and you need their power to stop Count Bleck once and for all.

This totaly deserves its own paragraph, there is an awesome refernce to an online internet troll who is trying to date across the internet. It's the level 3 boss and you have to fight him as Princess Peach in a dating simulator. Its awesome.

The sound in the game is OK. The character voices could have been made better but the music is nice. I don't think there is much more to say here other then that there are many diferent music tracks witch is good so it doesn't repeat a lot.

The controls in this game are very good. You don't need any time to get used to then. You hold the Wii Remote sideways and press the 2 button to jump and the pad to move. That's about it.

What I don't like about the game is that it doesn't use very many motion sensing features. Basically you just point at an enemy or something if you want to learn more about it. Sometimes you need to do so to solve puzzles aswell. Each of the levels in the game is fresh, but I hated 6-1 where you have to fight 25 of the same guy in a row going to a new room for every fight. It was very annoying.

I have to say that this is probably my favorite game in the Paper Mario series no doubt, I like the new fighting system and it's funnier then ever! There arn't any annoying glitches either.

Super Paper Mario is a great game with good looking graphics, lots of gamplay and a great plot. I would reccomend it as a must have to any Nintendo Wii owner.
