Weird settings and a lack of actual gameplay make Axel & Pixel's first adventure an unfulfilling experience.

"There are other game mechanics you'll encounter that break up the point-and-click gameplay. Sprinkled throughout the adventure are quicktime events that require you to quickly press particular button sequences in order to climb a cliff or hop across a chasm. There are also three vehicle missions that break up the pacing with a buggy, a hot air balloon, and a sailboat. They can all be played outside of the story mode on their own for arcade-style challenges, extending the game a bit. Then there are logic puzzles that may require you to crack a passcode or put together a jigsaw puzzle. "
