I and a buddy are playing co-op together in a mansion. My partner gets caught from behind and knocked out by a Locust. I run to my friend in order to try and revive him but the Locust who just took him out guards his helpless body. While stuck trying to kill this Locust, two more Locust come up from behind and surround me. At that point, my only option was to get my friend back up or die. The Locust that stood between me and my buddy started to reload his weapon and that was my only chance. I revved up my chainsaw and dashed toward the Locust, screaming, ready to cut the son of a bitch in half until I see him reload his gun and fire at me. Who lives and who dies?
For many shooters, there are different factors that make them good. Some has multiple factors and some having only one, such factors being intense moments, fun game play, strategy, or just being pure awesome. Gears of Wars has all of these rolled into one game that no casual or hardcore gamer should miss.

The Graphics are incredible. Only surpassed by the Likes of COD4 and Bioshock. Game play is immensely fun and addictive. I am on my 3rd straight play through. Co-op is intense, and fun and is just plain awesome. The game has a freaking Chainsaw Bayonet, what else you want!? THE BAD: SUMMARY:

The increasingly big developer Epic has finally brought us this piece of pure 3rd Person Shooter heaven to the Xbox 360 entitled Gears of War.
The amazing complicated game yet amazingly simple controls really shine through for the experience of the game, since it branches off what your doing, take blind fire for example, shooting a enemy with much of your body hidden, sounds a bit hard, but can be accomplished easily, by tapping A to stand next to a Wall, shuffling to the side of the wall a pressing the shoot button, simple indeed. The Weapons in this game aren't like many shooters, it's not full of an arsenal spread over the game, like Call of Duty for example, but Gears of Wars' weapons are simple yet used to great affect, like sniper, their may only be one, but it can lead to a very nice, yet gory headshot. Now as soon as you see Gears of War, you'll probably think "Chainsaw Bayonet? Great!" but it's not as simple as just running up to an enemy, revving your...

Absolutely gorgeous graphics, very lively, detailed environments that capture the destructive beauty of Gears of War, multiplayer fun that keeps you awake and your heart racing for that sweet action, weapons are very creative, not a hero game; you get support from three other guys or just one at certain duet moments, easy interface with the environments, gory but still friendly enough with a majority of people, futuristic look and feel, the game challenges you as you raise the difficulty level/experience level, General RAAM and Berserker are actual ENEMIES and not just pansies, rewards for many different things in the game. Gears of War or GOW is an amazingly entertaining and addictive game for the XBOX360. The storyline is great, a sci-fi/war plot, and with that there comes plenty of action. The graphics are top notch and the third person perspective/view makes for some intense action. Weapon choice is similar to Halo, not too many different things to add to your arsenal, but more than enough diverse ones to fit any given situation. Of course, XBL [XBOX Live] for this is incredible. The multiplayer death matches are ingenious to this title, and never get boring. And the audio isn't fuzzy, so no more turning up the volume just to hear the voices. THE BAD:

Gears of War is the highly anticipated third person shooter for Xbox 360 from Epic Games. It features some of the best graphics, sound, and gameplay on any game on any console to date. But did it live up to all the hype? Did it live up to what Epic promised it would? Did it deserve the numerous "Game of the Year" awards? Yes, yes, and yes. The gameplay in this game is, with all due respect, the best I personally have ever seen. The cover system works excellently, providing cover to leap to at almost any point during the game. The AI in this game was excellent, the enemies and allies use the same set of controls and physics to combat each other.
