Batman Begins

"It's too simplistic, formulaic and unadventurous in its approach, and you feel a lot like a passenger for the most part. You might as well just watch the film. But, on the other hand, it's really quite inoffensive, and perfectly capable of holding your attention without being overly frustrating if you can get past the fact that it's nothing special."

Christian Bale will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, the millionaire heir who grapples with the trauma of his parents' murder by stopping crime as the caped vigilante Batman.

"While Batman Begins is still worthwhile for Batman fans, the gameplay feels too much like a mishmash of several other well-known gaming franchises and ends up overly simplistic."

"A little like THQ's The Punisher, Batman can incapacitate or interrogate, though Batman doesn't kill. Instead, he threatens and applies force, knocking enemies unconscious. Interrogation gains the night-prowling detective information but it doubles as a way to upgrade your reputation too."

"As a whole, the game was a little short (six hours), but it's still a pretty fun ride despite the fact that it is not the definitive Batman game we've been waiting for. This game ain't the greatest in terms of freedom and linearity, but I'll still take it over Spider-Man 2. No doubt."
