SUMMARY:
All in all, I found this game very entertaining and well worth it. The first thing that got me excited about this game was the fact that you could play as other characters besides Buffy, which was your limit in the first game. This new feature allowed you to explore new battle techniques, such as Willow's spells and Sid's fists of fury.
The storyline was amazing as well, written by the writers of Buffy themselves. It fit right in to season five, using actual locations from the TV show, such as the Magic Box, Downtown Sunnydale, the cemetery, and many more new areas.
Not only was the story mode of the game excellent, but it also had added multiplayer zones and extras you can unlock throughout the game. With each level you beat, you get a reward, including some characters as well as voiceover sessions or interviews with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast.
But as with any game, in with the good is some of the bad. I was disappointed that Alyson Hannigan did not do the voicover for her character, nor did Sarah Michelle Gellar. It took a little getting used to the sound of someone else's voice as our favorite Buffy characters.
Another problem I had with this game, was the camera angles. It was hard for me to manuever the camera around to get it to the view I wanted, and sometimes the camera would get stuck somewhere and cause me to receive some brutal beatdowns.
Since the storyline was from season five, it would have been nice to see Dawn in there somewhere, even if it was for just a moment.
The biggest most annoying problem I had with Chaos Bleeds was the freezing problem. Constantly my game would freeze during play, usually at Kakistos or a boss fight, something that took me quite some time to get to. I had to restart levels countless times over due to this problem.
This game, despite its flaws, is still a very good game. It was challenging and fun, for those die hard buffy fans and those just getting into Buffy. It is definitly worth your time and money to go out and get this game.
