Dynasty Warriors 5

"Ultimately, this version of Dynasty Warriors 5 feels like too little, too late."

"Some people will like Dynasty Warriors 5 on Xbox. To them I say, "I used to like this series, too." But that was before every iota that made it interesting was recycled time and time again. There is fun in hacking up hundreds of bad guys who are powerless to stop your invincible charge. However, you get the same story, the same remedial gameplay, the same stupid foes, and none of the improvements one would expect from a sequel. Maybe in the next generation of consoles, I'll be able to immerse myself in the pretty graphics and forget I'm playing the same damn game yet again, but not this time."

"I dig the story and mysticism surrounding the series, but I still have a heard time bringing myself to play Dynasty Warriors 5 (or any Dynasty title for that matter) for a sustained amount of time. Give this one a rent though- you may be surprised at how far the series has come in a single episode."

"DW5 is a game that certainly succeeds in creating a system where players can go on seemingly endless battles against hordes of soldiers. The new Xbox specific additions are welcome, but don't really add that much to the overall play experience. Franchise fatigue is definitely apparent here, but it's still fun."
