Background:
Year 2025.

A 21st century where the concepts of "Nation" and "War" are deteriorating. The Japanese government, in order to cope with the massive air pollution and endless economic stress of Tokyo, transfers the capital to "Neo Tokyo", a dome city built in the Tokyo Harbor. The former districts such as Shinjuku and Shibuya of Old Tokyo are sealed off to civilians due to possible building collapses, effectively becoming "Neglected Zones"(or Trash Areas).

A few years later, a battle-game called "Rumbling" begins in one of the Trash Areas. In Rumbling, the contenders face each other while riding highly mobile armored land vehicles called "Scoobees", and receive fortune and rankings by destroying each other's vehicles. When one vehicle is destroyed, another enters combat, renewing the battle indefinitely! Fast, brutal battles and never-seen-before tactics such as Optic Camouflage have made the game a mega hit, and Rumbling's broadcast rating has sky-rocketed.

It's now the year 2031, and Rumbling is the biggest hit the entertainment business ever had. The fighters of the game want only one thing; to be the greatest and the coolest!

Gameplay:
In the distant future, a television show in Tokyo becomes the rage, providing broadcasts of arena battles between mechs. The mechs, called scoobies, are piloted by youth and as one of them, you can customize and prepare your scoobies for battles. Make use of their unique payload, and cloaking devices, to outwit and outlast your opponents.
