SUMMARY:
The Two Thrones marks the Prince's third return to the consoles and is every bit as great as the original. The story of The Two Thrones picks up immediately after the events in Warrior Within. The Prince and Kaileena, the Empress of Time, having defeated the Dahaka set sail for Babylon. Upon arrival, the Prince finds his Kingdom in ruins by the soldiers of his previous enemy, the Visier. The Visier's soldiers capture Kaileena and the Prince must get her back before it's too late.

Two Thrones's story and sounds harken back to the fairy-tale like atmosphere of The Sands of Time with a decent mix of some dark elements from Warrior Within minus the generic rock tracks. The story is narrated by Kaileena and it does an amazing job of tying in all of the events of the first two games that seemingly had very little do with each other.

The gameplay of Two Thrones expands upon the features of Warrior Within. There's still a dual weapon system, but now there is a balance and weight system implemented to give the player some variety between weapons. Another new element of gameplay is a few chariot races. While this sounds great, they can be very aggravating because there is no damage system to it, one miss and you're dead. Perhaps the biggest update to gameplay is the introduction of steal element. Don't fret if you're not much into stealth though. The one button system of stealth is easy to learn but it does have some glitches in timing. This system is also used for the various boss sections as well.

Overall, the Two Thrones is a great sequel to the first two games of the series. It gives the classic Prince of Persia gameplay with just enough new elements to keep die hard fans interested. If you're new to the series however, you may want to pick up the other two games first because you'll lose out on the story.
