THE GOOD: Superb Graphics, Damage Meter, Classic and Modern cars, nice control
THE BAD: Not enough tracks, some races you'll win on the better upgrades than skill

The first thing I always do in a racing game is cycle through the manufacturers to determine if they have a worthy collection of cars. Sega GT 2002, I'm glad to say, does. It may not be the most numerous collection, but Sega has done a fantastic job getting some of the old classics in the game.
License to Drive
My father owns three junkyards in central Illinois: one is for new models, one is for the cars which were in excess, and the third one is for 1990 car's and older. Guess which one I spent the most time at back in the day. When we were younger, my brother and I would spend hours fixing up old cars and driving them around like we owned the joint. (We couldn't own the road since I was 14 and my...
THE GOOD: Graffix, Gameplay, Cars, The RPG of car games!!
THE BAD: Enough to make you commit murder!!!
SUMMARY: Ok then lets kick this review off, bought the game on Thurs 7th Nov with as much excitement as when i bought Gran Turismo 2 for the Playstation, gets the game home and straight into the old x-box she goes, great stuff first impressions look good, menu layout and such are just like Gran Turismo, got £13,000 to spend on me new car (opted for a nice Peageot 2.0L). Was very surprised to see that i won my first race and thought to meself yep this is the game that will keep me gripped until i get me hands on Morrowind next week!!
The date is Sat 9th Nov and now im tiring of this game at a rate that is unserpassed, the reasons why well i will tell u now:
When you equip your car with better stuff i.e turbo's, mufflers and such the game allters the other cars to make the races harder for you to win! Now this isnt a bad...
THE GOOD: - Very good graphics - Lots of cars to choose from - Very nice driving physics - Damage - Drag Racing
THE BAD: - Not near enough tracks to choose from
SUMMARY: This is a very good game if you like racing games. If not I think you'll get bored of it quickly. So if you like racing games buy it (now comes with xbox along with JSRF) and if your not really into racing games then maybe just rent it.
SUMMARY: it has soo many cool cars and it keeps you entertained for hours on end. I like how the cars are always competion and it gets harder and harder further in the game. The drag races are also fun.But the best think that the best part is how you can fix your car up to be the best in every way.the graphics are soo real and I like how there isnt cheat I dont think.
THE GOOD: Graphics are superb!, massive collection of the hottest street machines to ever roll off the assembly line.
THE BAD: Realism
SUMMARY: If you like fast cars, awesome graphics and spectacular landscapes this is the game to get. If you love realism, this isn't the game to get, not one car shows damage on the race track, you hit a tree(nothing), a car(nothing). Only good aspect of this game is you can fine-tune nearly every aspect of their car's performance - from the muffler and brakes to the suspension, body weight and tires. And the amount of cars ranging from the classics from 50s - 70s, to the latest prototypes from more than 20 of the world's biggest manufacturers. This game also includes a brief history lesson about car culture in each decade precedes every race.
This was the only part i enjoyed most. The history of each car was a fantasic read. If your a true hardcore gamer which loves racing games, well inspite of...
THE GOOD: Graphics, realism, sound, and overall layout of the game and the way it's played are excellent!
THE BAD: Not obvious how to win "Special Prizes". Two-player mode would be nice in more than one single area. Main part of the game doesn't allow for more than one.
SUMMARY: This game is a blast. I'll admit that I'm new to Xbox, and therefore might find out that this is merely the tip of the iceberg, but I've spent over 80 hours playing this game (it came with my Xbox package!!!), and I've enjoyed it so much that I have had little desire to go out and buy another game (yet) other than Halo of course. As I said, great sound (I'm running Dolby Digital 5.1 of course), good graphics, very realistic. Trivia, and other car info is interesting. Just wish I could figure out how to win the "Special Prizes". I've won literally millions of dollars, and with more than eight different cars in each race of the "Event" mode, but still can't win the...
THE GOOD: old cars, cool car, drag racing, and looks sweet
THE BAD: after alittle bit the tracks get BORING!!!
SUMMARY: i love useing the old cars like the old american cars like chager and mustang, i like the newer cars also like the toyota supra, drag racing is sweet looks real, and the game looks really sweet, and the bad thing is after awhile its get boring doing the same tracks over and over should have add more tracks and add illegal street reacing would have been sweet.
THE GOOD: + Great cars
+ Novel money system
+ Great controls
+ Rip your own soundtracks
+ Goods
THE BAD: - Annoying
- Not what a racing sim should feel like
- No controller configuration option
- Licenses
- The turbo part
- Not fun enough
- Not good multiplayer options
SUMMARY: Sega GT has all the makings of a great car game. Lotuses, fast courses and a fun career mode means it could have been the first great racer on Xbox (Project Gotham wasn't that good). However, it was hampered by serious control flaws (button for accelerate instead of a trigger?) and had some disappointing multiplayer options (only two-player split-screen) meaning it couldn't quite scrape the top of racing greatness that so far, only Racing Evoluzione, PGR 2 and Midtown Madness 3 have achieved. Sad, it could have been greater. Hope Sega GT Online does the game justice.
THE GOOD: Graphics, Realism, driving style, everything!
THE BAD: Loading times, number of tracks, difficulty (too easy)
SUMMARY: This game, In my opinion, (if you like racing games) was absolutely awesome! The graphics are awesome, it has absolutely realistic driving style, and many great features. Some of these include Drag Racing, Rally (Winding Road Race), and some of the best cars ever to truly be created, even if they were never slated for production.
Some of the downsides, in my opinion, were the loading times. I know this game has awesome graphics and I am fine with its loading times but I hear a lot people complain about it and I agree it could be faster. Also the number of tracks, though enough, well there could be more, and should be more. The worst part of the game In my opinion is that its too easy, it needs a bit more of a challenge to it, like you shouldnt be able to beat some other cars on certain tracks...
THE GOOD: Realism! The cars are every bit authentic as you like, which is great. It features a large variety of Tracks, varieing for car to car, and has a lot to keep you occupied. Chronical Mode is a great touch. Basially you can race cars from the 50s, what fun we have with clapped out old moters running at 8MPH around a track!
THE BAD: Has a strange, horible empty feeling when racing. It's all too easy
SUMMARY: GT Mode is great. Bacially, you participate in 3 races, and take a licence test. The batter you're placed at the end of a race, the more money you win. The more damage you take during the race, the more is decucted off your prize total, and the more money you win, the better cars you can buy.
