THE GOOD:
Great Star Wars-based storyline. Excellent sounds, music, and voice acting. Online & offline multiplayer modes.

THE BAD:
Sluggish controls. Too short. Somewhat dull graphics. Long load times.

SUMMARY:
A new FPS set in the Star Wars universe, Republic Commando follows the pre-Trilogy movie storyline by placing the player in the role of a Clone Trooper commando. Your objective is to lead your four-man unit, codenamed Delta Squadron, through a series of campaigns covering events from Episodes 1-3, mostly events surrounding the Clone Wars. You'll face enemies like Droids, Trandoshans, Genosians, and other local types while ordering your team to perform various maneuvers as part of your duties.
The graphics are clean but generally dull, as everything seems to be dark and really lacking variety and color in the settings. The frame rate is generally smooth but at times it seems to skip frames when in crowded areas, and it also results in...

THE GOOD:
The graphics are great.
You can command your squad.
Great gameplay.
Good replay value.

THE BAD:
It was kind of short.
Thats about it. Everything else is awesome.

SUMMARY:
This game is one of the best First-Person-Shooter game that I've played. In a way it's better than halo.Your squad is your weapon. You can tell them to follow, search and destroy, Secure area, or tell them to hold position. You can also tell them to concintrate on a certain enemy if its to strong for one person to take by himself. You can command them to take sniping positions, Anti-armour position, grenade position, and more.If you need to get to a computer to hack it or something but you're busy fighting enemies, theres no problem.Tell one to take sniper position to help you, another with grenades, and tell the remaining soldier to hack the computer to save time while you fight the enemies. or you can do it the other way. This game has so many...

THE GOOD:
- The small little team chatters are funny
- Melee is cool, windscreen wiper is cool
- Weapons are nice
- The concept of the whole thing is cool
- Commanding team mates
- Blowing stuff up
- Team AI not running in my line of fire, EVER...

THE BAD:
..however, they always seem to die so easily, and are not smart enough to heal themselves so you end up having to run to three different places whilst being shot at, trying to revive people who are dumb enough not to take any cover whatsoever in large firefights
- The graphis are really quite poor for what they could be compared to other FPS's on the 'box such as Halo 2, Unreal Championship 2 etc.
- Grenades seem really weak and inaffective
- Average level design, some places are the same thing over and over and over again, no variety or freshness in different places of a level. It's samey samey

SUMMARY:
Overall this is a good game, but has just missed out on...

THE GOOD:
meh... its ok really... but the best bit id have to say would be the fact that if you get gunk on your visor then it cleans itslef... team elements are there and the interchangable gun is ok...

THE BAD:
as i said the team elements are there... but they're weak at best... on my game my team seem to die in the smallest fight and are too stupid to heal themselves...

SUMMARY:
all in all this game is average at best... as a die hard fan of the series and an owner of almost every game in the franchise that i could lay my hands on i was basically dissappionted... sure its a decent FPS but i was expecting so much more... i mean the multiplayer isnt even worth going into and the lack of vehicles that could;ve been included pissed me off so much i didnt play it for a few days

disappointment

THE GOOD:
The Gameplay
The Graphics
It's just so damn fun

THE BAD:
The multiplayer is weak
Little short

SUMMARY:
People may be cautious when they want to approach this game, mainly due to the fact that there is no lightsabers involved with it. I know, I love lightsabers as much as the next fan, but this game does well without it. It fact, it really exceeded my expectations, though I will admit I had none.

The story isn't much, if you want to talk movie wise, the whole thing starts when the clone war starts in the movie. Your 4 clones who are special from the rest of your brothers. You're trained for anything and can do anything. The story isn't much, but it gives you a good preview of what is to come in the new Star Wars without spoiling it. So lets move on to what makes the game so great.

If you take Rainbow Six: 3, combine it with Star Wars, and sprinkle it with a visor from Metroid Prime, you got Republic Commando....

THE GOOD:
There is a demo so you can see for yourself how bad this game is without wasting any money.

THE BAD:
Graphics, Gameplay, A.I., voice acting, level design, the jokes, interface and controls, sound

SUMMARY:
LucasArts is now solidly on the Dark Side

A Long Time Ago -- LucasArts made the BEST computer games.

Rebel Assault I & II, Dark Forces, X-Wing vs. TIE, Shadows Of The Empire, Outlaws, Grim Fandango, and Jedi Knight.

Then came consoles, and beginning of LucasArts path to the Dark Side.

Quality was replaced with tacky and mediocre. The allure of making cheap and simple games for the console kiddies gripped LucasArts by the throat and they willingly obeyed.

LucasArts choose the quick and easy path; instead of superiority and excellence they decided make games for the amusement of undemanding and simple-to-please minds of young children.

With the demo release of Republic Commando,...
