SUMMARY:
This is a great game if you're not that into the Ghost recon series. And a great starter for someone new to the series, it has its problems but those problems do lessen in gameplay. I do love the new controls over the past ones, this one's are much simpler, easier to learn, and quicker to use in combat. The healing is also a nice feature during a firefight.
Now with the bad, to like this game you never have to play the 360 version, because it (the 360 version) makes the Xbox version, seem like an afterthought [to get more money we better put a version out for the Xbox]. In this one game unlike the last 4 or so (I have never played GR1 or GRIsland) you can't select weapons ever. It like these are the weapons you get, deal with it. I remember one mission (Zocalo Plaza at night) you have to destroy a bunch of Mexican Abrams (destroying an Abrams is almost sacrilegious) it took me about half an hour of dying to figure out that Ramirez had a Zeus rocket launcher! Well at least most of the objectives (50.001%) were clear or even noticed. A lot of the orders you get are during firefights making them impossible to understand. The game is so rushed most of the time you can't think. And as soon as you're comfortable in one area you're rushed off to another area and get bombarded with enemies until you get picked up again. So the game feels super short and has little replay value (except for the missions with the explosive .50 Bmg). In conclusion if you like payload rifles (Barrett xm-109) or just killing Mexicans by the thousands and can overlook some classic Ghost recon elements (I want to use a AK!) this is the game for you.
