THE GOOD:
the new technology looks good and the graphics on the next gen xbox look amazing and it looks to be a fast paced game but with tactics.

THE BAD:
the ots view appears to be gone and there isnt much said for multiplayer yet so ill wait and see. but i would like to see more role/specialisations among the squad such as medics, ammo guy, snipers e.t.c. butu can still only play as the one character

SUMMARY:
From what ive seen it looks to be another promising title in the frachise. the teaser trailer looks wicked and it looks to be a mix of Ghost recon and Ghost recon 2 and the "cross-com" sounds handy its a communications system linked to intel, satalites to see a detailed map and other squad members. u can still only play as scott mitchell and i would like to see a player swap like in the original Ghost recon

March 17, 2006 - Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) is not the same game as the Xbox 360 version. This is an imitation of that great game and is sure to disappoint any fans who have played the superior next gen version. With so many of the extra features missing that once set this series apart from the pack, this version is reduced to that of a run-of-the-mill first-person shooter.

There is no comparison between this version of GRAW and the 360 version, at least not any good comparisons. If the soldiers in the 360 version are the highly-trained elite of the military, the soldiers in this version are mere grunts. They don't have the moves or the same weapons skill. And the gadgets they get, including the HUD are all inferior. The story may be the same and the mission may have the same objectives but the way they play out is something different altogether.

THE GOOD:
New controls
Cool HUD
"Healing"
nice weapons (explosive .50BMG)

THE BAD:
No selectable weapons
Buddy never tells you what he has for equipment
Vague orders
Short game
very linear

SUMMARY:
This is a great game if you're not that into the Ghost recon series. And a great starter for someone new to the series, it has its problems but those problems do lessen in gameplay. I do love the new controls over the past ones, this one's are much simpler, easier to learn, and quicker to use in combat. The healing is also a nice feature during a firefight.
Now with the bad, to like this game you never have to play the 360 version, because it (the 360 version) makes the Xbox version, seem like an afterthought [to get more money we better put a version out for the Xbox]. In this one game unlike the last 4 or so (I have never played GR1 or GRIsland) you can't select weapons ever. It like these are the weapons...
