World Map Music
To change the world map music, all eight characters must first join the hero's group in Chapter 5 (after defeating the Marquis de Léon). Change the music by changing the first member of the party after doing so.

cheap casino tokens
In chapter 2, the casino tokens cost 10 gold. In the other chapters it costs 20 gold. So instead of buying tons of items to save money, spend some time collecting money to buy enough tokens to get the falcon blade and other strong/late game items.
easy armor
Spend some time battling with Torneko in the front of the party. When he is at the front, enemies tend to drop more items.

Save most of your money between chapters 1-4!
Before the chapter ends take your character(s) to a shop and buy as much as you can. That way, when they join your party you keep all their items. Then just go to a store and sell the items.
