Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends Cheats & Tips

If you want better items when you are on your walks, here is what you do.

-Feed your dog NATURAL dog food (NOT canned or regular).
-Give him MILK to drink.
-Rub his BELLY and EARS.

Doing those will make your dog feel more confident on the walk.

(These next ones are optional)
Next:
-Put the "Lucky Collar" on your dog (If you have it).
-Bring out the "Clover Clock" (If you have it).
-Play Flower Waltz before you leave the house (If you have it).

Doing these will INCREASE the chance of finding rare items.

If you don't have the "Lucky Collar", the "Clover Clock", or the record
Flower Waltz, that's ok. Just make sure you do the other three, so your dog
is more confident on the walk.

When you are mapping out your walk (The places where you will go), try and
hit as many "?" as you can. You might find more (and better) items the more "?" you hit. Now if you find something like.. Ex: A Space Shutle Toy, A Globe, ect.. and you think it's worthless.. think again! The Space Shutle Toy is worth over 500$! So even if you think you found something worthless, check the Secondhand shop to see how much it is.

I get so so so annoyed having to wait half an hour to go on another walk, but luckily I found a way to prevent exact that...

All you have to do is go to the park for the last part of your walk and put on an accessory ( you have to be wearing an accessory ). This automatically saves the game. Go home and immediatly switch off your DS. Turn it back on and you can go for a walk again. Bear in mind that you will have to keep on changing accessories every time you do this, and your dogs courage for walks will not go up.....

This worx for all copies of nintendogs BTW,

Do the maximum number of contests (3), save it so you keep all the money. Then turn off the power, easy enough, eh? Then turn your ds back on, but click the little ds logo under all the options (pictochat, download play, ect.) and go to the date, set the date back TWO days, then go to the time adjustment, and put the time at 23:59, then turn off the ds. Go and turn your ds back on and go to play nintendogs. Pet your dog, yadda yadda ya, until the minute is up. You can now do the three contests and learn 3 tricks all over! Vouila, money in grosses.

NOTE- when you do this, when it goes to another day, you have to wait an extra 30 minutes to take your dog on a walk, so before you do this cheat, be sure to go on a walk!

Sometimes you can find a talking bird in the discount shop. If you take it out and press the button, you can speak into the microphone to say a message to your dog(s). Most will bark at it, as if they are scared, but some dogs will actually play with it. Note: The parrot will repeat your recorded message very fast, so say it slowly.

If you want to do really well in agility contests, get a small dog like a poodle. They can run very fast. Train at the gym on every walk you take, and when your dog is really good, feed it, give it water, give it a bath, etc, save your game (but don't turn the power off) then enter it in the contest. Look at the leader's score and time and keep it in mind. Then try to be quicker than the leader. If you do too many faults, or you are too slow, turn off your DS before the scores come up. Then turn it back on and try again

when the dog on the top of the screen stops you might be going past a present ....If it is a present press 'B' over and over.Most times the present will be really good!

To get better presents, tap go out then tap trainer info and change your birthday to today's date. Set up your clover clock, put on your Lucky Coller, go on a walk and you should find better presents.

If you want to get better presents wear the lucky collar or the New Year Tiara and put the Clover clock on and you shall find better presents.

When you want to get a new dog on bark mode and you dont have enough trainer points just attach your charger to your DS when it is still on nitendogs you brush one of your dogs and leave the brush on your dog for one whole night and in the morning you will wake up with lots of trainer points!!!

To make your dog cleaner wash it with the right shampoo then brush it with the right brush.
Also if you put your nintendo ds charger on, then put the brush on you dog then you will get more trainer points. Your dog will be extra clean

If you get a clover clock, whilst on a walk, do not sell it because it brings good luck to your dogs

Is your dog good at obedience trails then you'll wanna no this dancing fool trick....... tell your dog to roll over (don't rub its head to praise it then it wont work!) then tell it to spin and there's your dancing fool!

You know those 2 little brown squares with bones on top you see when u go 4 walks?? Go in them!! They are discount stores. You buy treats like beef jerky and biscuits in them which they don't have in the shops!! I bought 99 dog biscuits for just £12.50 (Bargain!!)

When you pass over a blue ? mark box, it will be neither a dog or a prize.
You can tell if it's a dog or prize because the screen fogs up when it's a dog, but your dog just barks and runs off.

Get one of the blue records and the dogs will react differently to each song.
For Example:

Naptime: Lulls them to sleep
Surprise: Wakes them up
Colonel Bogey: They all march in line
Toreador: They get a little bit feisty
Flower Waltz: They all start dancing

HOWEVER: This will not work for unnamed dogs.

If you want to give your dog a ribbon and you want it to be on their ears get a floppy eared dog. If you want it to be on their chest get a pointy eared dog.

When training your dog occasionally an outline of a bone will appear on the screen, you can feed this to your dog by dragging it to its mouth, you can do the same with the light bulbs that appear above your dogs head when your teaching them new tricks.

If you have a Life Ring (to my knowledge, the only way to get it is to go on walks), throw it and if your dog catches it by jumping (has to be high) there's a chance that your dog will do a flip to catch it.

While you can purchase new toys for your pup to play with, you can actually get some goodies for free if you know where to look. When you take your Nintendog on a walk, outline a path that goes by the blue "?" boxes marked on the map. Your puppy is likely to run off screen at those points and come back with a present for you! Your puppy will also randomly run to get presents for you if you leave the game on the "Home" screen for long. If left unattended, your Nintendog will leave the apartment and stay off screen. Simply tap on the center button (the circular one) to whistle and call back your pup who should be carrying a new present.

if you meet another person on a walk, get your dog close to the other. if you hear a xylophone that means they are friends

With the pull rope, you hold one end and wait until a dog grabs the other end. You pull the end of the rope to the top of the screen then you spin it around and the dog falls off.

You can only walk your dog every 30 minutes, so if you have multiple dogs you can continue to alternate. If you have a lot of time to play walk as much as you can as often as you can, for every dog.

play the "Flower Waltz" Record and then drag the needle near the end your dogs will do a backflip.

After you have done this when your dog is bored your dogs will always do backflips!

On your walk, draw right over a question box. If your lucky, it will be a present. If you are even more lucky, it will be something you have never ever had before. If you find a Lucky Collar, put it on your other dog and go for another walk. You will be more likely to get good presents. If there's a present on the side of the road, jerk your leash backwards and you dog will most likely pick up the present. Touch your leash to control it. Don't let go of that leash! Getting a present on the sidewalk works best if your dog is running. To run, jerk the leash forwards. Now, there's one more present, poop. To clean this "present" up, just touh it. Hope I helped!

If your dog's stamina is REALLY long, which is close to the eraser, you can go through all the question marks. If you're lucky, you can get a fireman's hat, and it will tell you that you got dalmation puppies in your kennel. (Tip: if your dog's stamina is REALLY long, like I said, you could get pretty rare stuff.)

Do you have one dog, and would like to take it for walks more in half an hour?

You need another accessory first!!

What you have to do is:

1. Plan your route on your walk, and at the end, put a park.
2. When you are in that park, change accessories.
3. When you press back, it saves.
4. When the saving message goes, switch it off (If you do it before the message goes completely, you will risk your account data.)
5. When you switch your DS back on, you should have the items AND you can do walks again.

Note: Your dog will NOT have more courage (Want to go any further) by using this method!

To go faster on walks, tug the handle of the leash, and your dog will jump, to keep it staying fast, you need to do that over and over. By doing this, it increases your chances of finding a prestent or garbage by 50%.

Dogs:

(For beginners. Read the personality of each dog before getting it. This and the way you reaise it will afeect how it grows up.

(For the more experienced). There are some more difficult tricks you can teach dogs. These
include:

Laying Jump: Get your dog to lay down on his back. Don't pet him just yet. While on his back, command him to jump. If he is healthy and well-fed, he'll jump from this position! Sometimes your puppy won't be in the mood to do this trick and will simply stand before jumping. If he does it correctly, touch the training icon and say "laying jump".

Handstand: Have your dog lay down, then tell him to stand. It sounds confusing, but he will understand that you want him to stand on his front paws! It's more difficult, but you can also slide the stylus down and up quickly when your puppy is in a playful mood (if he shakes his butt) to perform this trick. Tap that training icon and say "handstand", you'll definitely want to repeat this trick!

Walks:

(For beginners). When on a walk, go through as many ? boxes as you can. Some have presents, which can be sold to make money, and some have DS characters who are also walking their dogs. They will give you helpful hints with the game.

(For the more experienced). Need more good presents like the Jack Russell Book? There are no guarantees, but try this:
1. Press the Go Out button.
2. Go to Info.
3. Go to Trainer Info.
4. Go to Birthady. Set it as the date today.
5. Where a Lucky Collar and Four Leaf Clover Clock if you've got them and go on a walk. This way you have a 50% more chance of getting valuable items.

When u take your dogs on walk you mostly get dogs but if u put a clover clock on in your house and where a lucky collor on your dog u will get more presents although if u have contests u need to finish do them first and then if u think u r gunna lose turn the power of your ds. Then turn the power back on your ds and then try the contest again and again until you think you are gunna win this time.

If u have more then 3 dogs there are more chance of getting more rare prestens on walks.

When your on a walk and your dog barks once that means that your getting a present if your dog barks 2 times or more its a dog!

Put the New Year Tiara on your dog before going on walks.
If you are lucky you may get a Bowser Kart from Mariokart

First go on bark mode with a friend, make shore they bring the dog you want (Also you bring a dog they already have in the kennel) Once you on tell your friend to lieve and you stay on for about 5 mins, then come home. It should say you have the dog in the kennel.

It works i did it.

How do you know when you have washed your dog enough, just keep scrubing with the soap, until the shower icon in the top-right hand corner flashes and makes a pinging noise. Once that icon does that switch to that icon then shower down your dog. Make sure you do the back leg LAST because then you get all the soap off.

Every time you go for a walk go to the gymnasiam or the park.At the park you can train for disc competitions and at the gymnasiam you can train for agility trials.

If you want to get a Jack Russel Terrier then you are going to have to go on walks. If you have the clover clock you will have the best Chance of Finding the Jack Russel Book. Then you will get the dog to appear in the kennel.

When you are taking your puppy for a walk, your puppy will walk at 3 different speeds. Slow, Medium, and Fast. Normally, your puppy will walk either Slow or Medium, but somtimes, your puppy will burst with energy and start running. When your puppy starts running, use your stylus, and grab the leash and quickly yank it up. You have to do this quickly because your puppy doesn't run for very long. If you yanked the leash in time, your puppy would have literally jumped into the air. If you do this quite quickly, you might be able to have him/her jump a couple times. <img src="http://i.neoseeker.com/d/icons/smile.gif" border=0 vspace=2 alt="" />

I know you probably already know this, but if you don't, listen up. If your dog is beautiful like washed and brushed thoroughly and dressed in a fancy collar or ribbons or flowers or whetever, then your dog will do better in competitions.

If you leave a cone on the dog when you brush it leave it in the middle of it's bely then leave it over night and you will get loads and loads of points! Trust me the longer you leave it the more trainer points you will get!

On a walk, if you meet someone walking their dogs and you want your dogs to play do this. When you can control the lead pull it forwards and if your dog runs pull back. This way the dogs will sniff each other. (Note): This does not always work. Good luck making friends.

go to the gymnasium(available only while walking)with any of your dogs. practice by going around the place so you are going in a circle. ONLY do the first 8 things, it should be jump, jump, jump, jump, tunnel, jump, tunnel, jump. if your dog is good at them then enter it at the agility trial(note: if your dog is in a tunnel and wont move, touch the dogs position in the tunnel and slide the stylus in the direction of the end of the tunnel. repeat until it is out.). when you get a trophy, go back to the gymnasium with the same dog. practice until its not scared of the seesaw. then go back home, and repeat the agility trial. hopefully you will keep winning. every time you get 3rd or better in the agility trial, go back to the gymnasium to try the new thing.

If you find a piggy bank on a walk throw it and money should fall out.

If you find another dog on bark mode, that you already do not have in your kennel, it will become avaliable!

When you pet your dog sometimes it will start to sparkle but that does nothing, if you really want something to happen when you're petting a dog do this; pet your dog a lot and a sparkling bone will appear and you can feed it to your do .p.s. you can also drag the light bulb to your dog to feed it when he does a trick.

Have you ever wanted, say, something like a new treat or dog food? You can check the shop but they most likely won't have it. And if they do, it'll be expensive. Don't check the shop. Get a dog and go walking. On your journey you'll see a shop with a bone on top. Go into that shop and finish the trail. After that, you're dog will walk into the shop. Have a look around there. They usually get great new items for CHEAP!!! I got a dog biscuit for 40c. I got 99 at the moment. Only 5 dollars something. You can also get new toys! How cool! I recommend this definitely! Well, try it out for your self. Hope it works.

When you go into obedience competitions at the end you get free performance and to get some really cool stuff don't call your dog to you instead just catch him/her doing natural things like sniffing then click on the picture of him/her and touch the light bulb and say the thing you want to call it! It works!

I have discovered (But I probably wasn't the first) a way to stop those annoying potty breaks your dogs do on your walks together. All know, that when your walking, if your dog(s) starts sniffing around on the ground, they want to use the bathroom. That, or they want to remark territory another dog had claimed. If you are in a hurry, and don't want to have to pick up any *accidents*, all you have to do, is use your stylus, and grab your dog's leash. Rapidly, start yanking, and pulling, and moving the leash all over. Your dog will be pulled out of using the bathroom. Once you do this, your dog will continue walking, like it never needed to use the bathroom in the first place. Doing this WILL NOT harm your dog in ANY way, and is perfectly safe for never-ending bladder puppies. This hint HAS BEEN tested, and works perfectly for ANY Nintendog game.

Items from the Mario games are added in the game (example: Peach Kart from Mario Kart DS.)

To control the Peach Cart, Use A to accelerate, B to reverse/brake, L to Change Screen. As soon as you press A, Music will start playing. Also if a dog goes for it (you know, attack it) The cart will spin for a few seconds.

When you go on a walk your dog might need to have a potty break, but you never know what it is gonna do. If it is gonna pee its legs will be apart, and if it is gonna poop its legs will be together and it will lean down that little bit farther.

If your dog barks one when you reach a "?" Its a present
If your dog barks twice when you reach a "?" its a doggie
If You dog reaches a "?" and one of the spots where its went to the bathroom flashes its a dog.
If your dog barks once and one of the Bathroom Spots flashes its a dog.

when you are walking a dog
look at the map and if your icon has stopped
moving and there is no ? icon there
AND your dog is still walking on the bottom
screen STOP RUNNING!!!!

This is a little secret that I think I should definitely share. Okay here it goes.

You know how as you make progress in contests and win up to more levels (like Beginner or Championship) they get harder. Right? Well, if you have either the Green Pearl Ribbon or the Purple Pearl Ribbon wear it. It will help you do better in the contests! So if your dog is bad at jumping and you wear on of the ribbons, he/she will jump good on the jumps!

Sometimes you may think that things in the pet supply store are rips. For example £40 for a brush?! Easily solved. Go for a walk and go to the building with a bone on it. It's the discount shop. This is much better. Now you can buy a brush for only £28 and thats a £13 saving!Sometimes they sell better items, like Jerky treats and Keyboards.

When you give your dog a bath, or brush him / her, scrub or brush in a circular motion on their elbow or knee and they will relax and enjoy their bath / brushing more.When brushing, the doggy you are brushing will keep waving its arms in the air, but keep the brush in the same exact place!

When you are on a walk and you get a "red" or "green" hat, it is just the hat Mario or Luigi wear.

If you want to enter the agility trial, you have to take your dog to the gym at least once.To get to the gym, just go on a walk an go into the biggest place you see other than the park by the beach.

These tips are probably obvious to regular Nintendogs players. But new players might not know them.



Right before a contest...

Obedience:
1. Pet your dog and train it with as many tricks as you can. Remember to train him/her with the required tricks for that level of competition before getting into advanced tricks.
2. Give your dog natural food (not canned or regular food) and give your dog milk.
3. Then, wash your dog with the CORRECT SHAMPOO. [Go to the main menu and click on your dog's name to find out what type of hair they have: short or long.]
4. Next, brush your dog with the CORRECT BRUSH. The rubber brush is for short haired dogs, and the wire brush is for long haired dogs. After this, it should say that your dog is beautiful and feeling very good.
5. To raise its confidence, pet your dog and train it with each trick that he/she knows.
6. Now, put a lucky collar on your dog (this is optional, for not everyone has this item) and bring him/her to the competition. Your dog should do very well and win 1st place if you have trained him/her correctly. Also, make sure not to discipline your dog if he/she gets something wrong. Yelling or hitting your dog will only bring DOWN its confidence and make it angry with you. When you get home (whether or not you won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) give your dog a few treats. This will make your dog love you, and your dog will be happy.

Agility:

Other tips:

If you want extra trainer points...
1. Feed your dogs every time they're hungry.
2. Give your dogs water every time they're thirsty.
3. Wash your dogs once each day, whether they're dirty or not.
4. Brush your dog RIGHT AFTER you bathe them, this will make them EXTRA beautiful. :]
5. Play with your dogs everyday. This could mean throwing a ball or disc and throwing it again when they bring it back, or simply leaving them with a soccer ball, tennis ball, etc.
6. If you plan on leaving your dog alone with a toy, leave it with other dogs.
7. Leave your DS on its charger and leave the brush on your dog's belly (make sure NOT to bathe it before, otherwise it will stop brushing it and tell you your dog is beautiful.) You can leave the brush there overnight as long as it's on the charger. For each real time minute the brush is there, you earn one trainer point. Therefore, when you wake up, you will have tons of trainer points.



Right before a walk:

5. Go on your walk and you will have more of a chance of getting extra/rare items such as: Jack Russell Book, Weird Alien, Gold Bar, RC Helicopter, Combat Helicopter, Records, Meteorite, Asteroid, Pair of deer antlers, Santa hat, Life Ring, Broken Clock, Smart Clock, Wall Clock, Clover Clock, Pearl Necklace, Pizza Disc, Mario Kart, Peach Kart, Bowser Kart, etc.)

Agility: Miniature Pincher, Poodle, Jack Russell, Yorkshire Terrier, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

These are the amounts of trainer points that you need to get new dogs...
Boxer: Get 10,000 owner points to unlock the Boxer breed at the kennel.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel: Get 22,000 owner points to unlock the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed at the kennel. Get 4,000 owner points in the Japanese version of the game.
Chihuahua: Get 50,000 owner points to unlock the Chihuahua breed at the kennel.
Dachshund: Get 45,000 owner points to unlock the Dachshund breed at the kennel.
Dalmatian: Find the fireman's hat during a walk to unlock the Dalmatian breed at the kennel.
German Shepard: Get 4,000 owner points to unlock the German Shepard breed at the kennel. Get 8,000 owner points in the Japanese version of the game.
Golden Retriever: Get 20,000 owner points to unlock the Golden Retriever breed at the kennel.
Jack Russell Terrier: Find the Jack Russell Book to unlock this breed at the kennel.

When you enter an obedience competition, there's a Free Performance at the end. Here are some advanced tricks that will help you get extra points on this competitions, and will give you extra trainer points for teaching them to your dog.

Laying Jump: Get your dog to lie down on his back. Don't pet him just yet. While on his back, command him to jump. If he is healthy and well-fed, he'll jump from this position! Sometimes your puppy won't be in the mood to do this trick and will simply stand before jumping. If he does it correctly, touch the training icon and say "laying jump".

Back Flip: This trick is similar to the laying jump but is performed from the sitting position. Have your puppy sit, then immediately tell her to jump. If she's in a good mood, she will turn a flip from a seated position. Quickly touch the training icon and say "back flip".

Handstand: Have your dog lie down, and then tell him to stand (beg). It sounds confusing, but he will understand that you want him to stand on his front paws! It's more difficult, but you can also slide the stylus down and up quickly when your puppy is in a playful mood (if he shakes his butt) to perform this trick. Tap that training icon and say "handstand", you'll definitely want to repeat this trick! This trick also works the same as beg in the obedience competition. (Sometimes, your dog will do the handstand trick rather than beg just to impress the judges.) :]

Spin/Turn: Tell your dog to stand (beg), then make him chase his tail (spin). If it works right he'll run around in a circle on his back two paws. Touch the training icon and say "turn" to start learning the trick. This trick also works the same as spin in the obedience competition. (Sometimes, your dog will do the turn trick rather than spin just to impress the judges.) :]

Dance: Tell your dog to stand (beg). Take one of your puppy's paws and motion upwards with it. Help him up and he'll eventually stand on his hind legs unsteadily, giving the illusion of dancing.

Bunny Hop: Tell your puppy to stand, and then tell your puppy to jump. If it works, he'll hop around like a bunny!

Break Dance: Have your puppy roll onto his back, and then tell him to chase his tail. He'll try to do it and end up spinning on his back! Tap your training icon and loudly proclaim "break dance!"

Sneeze: Not as much an advanced trick as an interesting one, touch your dog's nose at any time to make him or her sneeze. Then, touch the training icon and say "sneeze". Don't worry; your puppy won't get sick.

Wag: The excited butt wagging puppies do when they're ready to play can also be taught as a trick. Simply touch the training icon while your puppy is in this mood and say something like "wag" or "butt".

Howl: Sometimes a dog will bark outside of your house, causing your pup to start howling. Catch the training icon quickly and you can teach your dog to howl!



Extra Tip:
~ Do you ever hear a firetruck siren that makes your dogs bark like crazy? This is probably some sort of signal... When you hear this, quickly go on a walk (try to wash your dogs, brush them, feed them, water them, etc. early in the day that way they're ready for their walk.) When you're walking, try to hit as many ? marks as possible. Also, watch the top screen. If you see the little dog on the top stop walking, jerk your dog's leash. This is an indication of garbage or a present. Hopefully it's a present. The firetruck siren before your walk is a hint that you might find the fire hat and get dalmatians when you get home! :]

To increase your chance on finding this rare item, before going on a walk put the lucky collar on any of your dogs then make the CLOVER CLOCK your clock and this will increase your chances of finding it. This is NOT 100% guarantied to work. However it will increase your chances of finding this 2 thousand pound worth item.

When in the obedience competition, make sure you save before you enter the competition. When you are doing the tricks, when it comes to the scores or you feel you have done badly in the show, before before or when the scores come up, restart your DS seeing as you can only enter three competitions a day.

Ok, even though it's only virtual, you may want to consider on what puppy to get, for example, when you go to the Kennel if you click on a dog it will say it's personality, only get the dog with best personality, and after you have your puppy, go out for walks, teach it tricks, enter contests, spend LOADS of time on your DS with it, soon, you will get more trainer points and different puppies in the Kennel, so before you get four puppies in the hotel and 3 with you, wait until there are more in the Kennel, that way you can pick a PERFECT puppy.

Remember, if your dog is hungry it may do bad in contests. If it is famished, you can't enter a contest until you feed it.

People say that you can get an asteroid only at night i got one 6:30 in the morning, you can only get new years tiara on newyears i got it december 3rd,you can only get a pumpkin collar on halloween i got one on august 5, so my point is you can get any item at any time but items farther away from your house and the more trainer points the more exclusive and rare the gift! I have a peach cart now with over 22,000 trainer points! Beginners better get to work! An easy way to get trainer points is to leave your ds on brushing your dog and you get 3 tp every minute leave your ds on charge all night with the sound down NOT closed! Closing your ds will pause it and is a waste of time! It only takes 2 weeks of doing this to et 5000 + trainer points I hope my extremely long tip helped! lol =)

Dogs:

(For beginners. Read the personality of each dog before getting it. This and the way you reaise it will afeect how it grows up.

(For the more experienced). There are some more difficult tricks you can teach dogs. These
include:

Laying Jump: Get your dog to lay down on his back. Don't pet him just yet. While on his back, command him to jump. If he is healthy and well-fed, he'll jump from this position! Sometimes your puppy won't be in the mood to do this trick and will simply stand before jumping. If he does it correctly, touch the training icon and say "laying jump".

Handstand: Have your dog lay down, then tell him to stand. It sounds confusing, but he will understand that you want him to stand on his front paws! It's more difficult, but you can also slide the stylus down and up quickly when your puppy is in a playful mood (if he shakes his butt) to perform this trick. Tap that training icon and say "handstand", you'll definitely want to repeat this trick!

Walks:

(For beginners). When on a walk, go through as many ? boxes as you can. Some have presents, which can be sold to make money, and some have DS characters who are also walking their dogs. They will give you helpful hints with the game.

(For the more experienced). Need more good presents like the Jack Russell Book? There are no guarantees, but try this:
1. Press the Go Out button.
2. Go to Info.
3. Go to Trainer Info.
4. Go to Birthady. Set it as the date today.
5. Where a Lucky Collar and Four Leaf Clover Clock if you've got them and go on a walk. This way you have a 50% more chance of getting valuable items.

To make your dogs always bring back the frisbee or ball you have to throw the frisbee or ball. When the dog is about to catch it click on the screen about 5 times repeatedly. Next time the dog should bring it back without you having to call his/her name.

Go to the screen where you can brush your dog. Take the brush and put it on him. Leave it there for a few hours. As long as the brush is on him, you get trainer points for every 1 minute. Leave on overnight and you will have a ton of Trainer Points and most likely a brand new dog at the kennel!

Do Bark Mode with a dog in a breed that you don't have.

Example: Do Bark Mode with a Boxer and after you do Bark Mode with that dog, you will be able to buy the Boxer breed at the kennel.

NOTE: This only works the first time with each different version of the game. So you can do this trick one time with Dachshund & Friends, Chihuahua & Friends, and any other version of Nintendogs.

Boxer
Get 10,000 owner points to unlock the Boxer breed at the kennel.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Get 22,000 owner points to unlock the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed at the kennel. Get 4,000 owner points in the Japanese verison of the game.

Chihuahua
Get 50,000 owner points to unlock the Chihuahua breed at the kennel.

Dachshund
Get 45,000 owner points to unlock the Dachshund breed at the kennel.

Dalmatian
Find the fireman's hat during a walk to unlock the Dalmatian breed at the kennel.

German Shepard
Get 4,000 owner points to unlock the German Shepard breed at the kennel. Get 8,000 owner points in the Japanese verison of the game.

Get 20,000 owner points to unlock the Golden Retriever breed at the kennel.

When going for a walk, go to the park. When you go to the park, change your dog's accessory to anything. The game saves it. When it does, turn off. Start again, and you will be able to go for another walk.

While walking your dog continue to tap the floor numerous times. This will make your dog want to investigate it and sometimes you will get gifts which you can sell for money.

When you are on a walk and you meet a dog,you can tell if your dog likes that one by the music.If you here drums in the backround(the same music as the "potty" music)then your pup dosn't enjoy that dog's behavior.You can also tell if the other dog is chasing you dog.If you here nice,"romantic"(some people would call it that)music,then your dog likes that dog.If the music stays the same,your dog is still curios about that dog.

While walking your little "angel",if you keep the leash at the same level as your dog's nose,then it will start to trot,but keep it in the same place even if your dog's head lowers or gets higher.

the more you take your dog out for a walk at night the more likely it will sleep and be unactive in mornings.

did you know that if your dog is hungry or thirsty then it won't try to find gifts for you instead it will find rubbish on the floor to eat so make sure your dog eats before a walk!!

You know how sometimes if you have more than one dog one of them at least has a normal thirst? Well so you don't have to waste 1 to 2 extra water bottles just take the other dog(dogs) on a walk so they all of normal thirst and no more water is wasted.

to make your dog wave grab your pups ear and kinda drag it sideways and it will wave!!

Save your game before the contest so if you don't like the results you can turn of the power and start over. That way you don't lose save data and you can still enter in 3 competitions.

If you really want another dog go to the contest. Yes you say that you can only do it 3 times a day! I actually know a way that you can do it a million times without waiting for the next day! All you do is save before going to your contest. If your dog gets good points, don't turn off your power! If it does poorly turn off your power and try again as many times as you need to!

If you have found the helicopter toy on a walk, did you know that you can actually for one thing, control it and make it fly and did you know that you can change the view to make flying the helicopter easier?

What you do is, get out the toy helicopter. Press the Left button. Then press the A button to get it up, then press the up button to make it go forward. The dogs love these and if you don't want it, you can easily sell it for $200

SAVE before you go on a walk then go on the walk and when you get back look at the gifts you have if you don't like them turn of your nintendo and keeping doing that until you find some gifts you actually like.

If you want to become rich, then you have to get a Japanese dog named 'Shiba Inu.' Then you must get a Japanese printed collar and put it on your dog. Once you have owned it for a long time, you will be able to take it out for long walks so once you have owned it for a long time, take it out for a long walk and you will get a globe which is worth about sixty pounds!

To find the Jack Russell you need to get the Jack Russell book on a walk. Then it will unlock the Jack Russell in the kennel.

When you hear drums in the backround AND your dog is stopping ,that means your dog will 'use the bathroom'

if you want more chance to find a rare item, let you're dog wear a lucky ribbon ,instead of a dot collar, and use a clover clock

Sometimes while you are walking, your dog may find a gift and bring it to you! This is useful, as you could get gifts worth $1 to over $2000! Who knows, he might just find a gold bar...

When Your Dog Is Running On The Bottom Screen But Not On The Top Screen You Know That A Present Or Garbage Is Going To Be On The Sidewalk So If Your Dog Is Running REALLY Fast SLOW DOWN! (You Might Miss The Present!)

Want to walk all your dogs, but you have to wait so long? Well, just walk one dog. When your back, walk another. Then the finally dog. By that time dog 1 will be ready for walk, so go ahead and walk him/her.
Also, this works well with training dogs. Because dogs sometimes tire, by the time your done walking your other 2 dogs, you can train your first one you started with.

You really don't have to wait 30 minutes after your dog's walk to go on another one. Just change your dog's accessory at the park to save the game. then after that little "saving: do not turn the power off" box goes away and the screen becomes normal again, turn off the power. Turn the DS on again. You will still have your presents (if you picked up any) from your walk. Now you do not have to wait half an hour to go for a walk. Repeat as many times as you want. This glitch works with ALL Nintendogs games.
