Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Cheats & Tips

If you cast the wizard spell 'Continual Flame' on an equippable item, not only will the item give off a white light when equipped, it's value goes up greatly! When cast on a lowly copper ring, the value goes frpm 9 gp to more than 190! Even if the item is already laden with enchantments, if you cast Continual Flame on an item you never want to use again before you sell it to a merchant, you can get a nice extra chunk of change!

If you wanna cheat coz you are stuck on something here is how you cheat, I never really use this myself but it might be useful at times.

Warning: The cheats are case senstive so be careful how you type.

Cheat mode activate - DebugMode 1
Cheat mode deactivate - DebugMode 0
God - dm_god
Gold - dm_givegold
get the max level - dm_giveXP
Set Strength attribute - SetSTR [number]
Set Dexterity attribute SetDEX [number]
Set Intelligence attribute - SetINT [number]
Set Wisdom attribute - SetWIS [number]
Set Constitution attribute - SetCON [number]
Set Charisma attribute - SetCHA [number]
Heal character - dm_heal (this will heal you main character to full health, which is useful if you have high HP)

NeverWinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark

You can use the same console cheats that were used
in the original NeverWinter Nights:

First, you will need to hit the tilde [~] key and
type in "DebugMode 1" (case sensitive). Then hit the [~]
key again and press [Tab]. This should show you a list
of the different functions available. Hit [Tab]
again to scroll down the list.

Cheats: (case sensitive, X - is a number)

SetCHA X - Sets your Charisma
SetSTR X - Sets your Strength
SetINT X - Sets your Intelligence
SetWIS X - Sets your Wisdom
SetCON X - Sets your Constitution
dm_givegold X - Gives the X amount of gold to you
GetLevel X - Raises you an additional X amount of levels
dm_god - Makes you invulneralble (does not require you
to click on the player character)
dm_heal - Full health
GiveXP # - Give # amount of experience points

On some of the cheats, it will simply give you
a message saying "success" after you enter the code
and press [Enter]. Other ones, such as the SetCHA
will say "Entered Target Mode". You must click on your
character to enable the changes on your character.

Unlock all HOTU expansion chapters in single player:
In the neverwinter nights directory there is a file
called nwnplayer.ini Open the file and find the line
that says "CODEWORD XP2=" or some variation thereof.
Change it to:

CODEWORD XP2=barkeater

If there isn't a "CODEWORD XP2=" line then just add it
somewhere between the "[Game Options]" and "[Control Options]" lines.
After putting this in you should be able to access all
the chapters for the expansion campaign.

well, if you haven't noticed, you can use powered-up characters from this or other versions of NeverWinter Nights.

This also includes what is in you invantory, so you can use powerful swords and items at the start of the game, just make sure you find a way to avoid the theif in this game who takes all your stuff.

To do this, use a make up character that you have made and collect all the items, weapons and armour you need and get to a high level, then go to options and click on save character.
Then, when you start a new game, go to pre-made characters and find your saved character, once you have loaded your chosen character, it will have the same level and invantory as from the last game, making the game much easier.

I forgot to put this down last time, you have to press thre ¬ key to bring up a typeable box in the top left corner, you can put your cheats in there, anyway, this will show you all the cheats/modes/visions/etc in the game.

First, activate the cheats using the DebugMode 1 code, then press the ¬ key again and press the Tab button to bring up all the options that you can use in the cheat box, to scroll down, hit the tab key again, the list will disappear after a while so don't leave the list unmoved for too long.
