Grand Theft Auto IV Cheats & Tips

During the last mission, either revenge or deal, when you eliminate all the enemies outside the casino, don't go to the entrance directly. Instead, go around the casino to the back. There will be a ladder which leads to the roof. Climb it, and look for a section of the roof with holes. Go there, drop a few grenades in the holes, and all the enemies should be eliminated, without you being in any danger. After that, just climb down, and enter the casino.

MAJOR SPOILER

First, you'll have to have access to Happiness Island. Once you're able to go there legally, find the Helicopter Tours (which is directly east of Happiness Island) and steal a helicopter. Fly to Happiness Island and over the Statue of Liberty, then jump out of the helicopter at the statue's feet. You should land on the topmost tier of the statue, which is basically a square platform with a door in the center of each side. Run around the platform until you see a door with a plaque on either side of it that reads, "No Hidden Content Here." It may seem like you cannot go through the door, but you can-- it doesn't open, you simply walk THROUGH the door. Inside, you'll find an empty room with a tall ladder. Climb it, and when you reach the top, look up; there is a gigantic beating heart, held in place by chains.

When reloading, press up against a wall, car or anything with cover and your gun is reloaded without Niko following through with the actions of reloading it.

After escaping the 'catchment' zone (the circle that appears around your last known position - i.e. where the Police saw you last) DO NOT drive on, instead stop right outside of the zone, and wait for the police to stop searching.

If you simply drive on, there is a high chance that you will run into some policemen which will refocus the catchment zone around you. If you wait just outside of this zone, the chance for the police to come there is lower, and after a few seconds (I believe 5 - 10 seconds of waiting) the police will call off their search.

You do this for Francis McReary.
He wants you to kill a guy with a sniper rifle who might talk to a judge or something.
There are 3 different ways to do this:
Get to the car with the rifle/ammo if you do already have a sniper with you.
Drive it to the location and go up the apartment and get into position.
HERE'S THE FUN PART !

Method 1: Silent Caller.

If you paid attention to the cutscene,you would have noticed the phone # on top of the telephone.
If you didn't pay attention,I believe the number is 545-555-0122.
He thinks the dude who's calling is his girlfriend/ex...LOL.
Blast him at the back of the head.
Just leave the rooftop(DON'T JUMP OFF!I did and died,so don't) and wait for Francis to call you, Mission Passed, and you get a good 5 grand;)

Method 2: Technical Difficulties.

Like I said above, get to position.
Here you don't really have to pay attention to the cutscene.
The guy is chilling, watching a Burger Shot commercial.
Ironic isn't it?
"The Bleeder" is one of the burgers xD...Ok,moving on.
Blast the TV, and he'll get up and go to the window to see what happened.
Blast him at the top of his scalp/face/forehead, get off, wait for the call, and mission passed;)!

Method 3: Unpaid Cable Bills.

Again, get into position.
You REALLY don't have to pay attention to the cutscene.
Aim a little to the left and you'll see a satellite dish.
Blast it, and the TV will do the static thing.
He'll smash the TV, wondering what happened.
Blast him at the back of the head and get off and wait for the call.
Mission Passed;)!

Ok, to get guns easily, take little Jacob out alot and he will tell you that he likes you and will get you guns, and for gangs, do the same
with dwayne. Its better then just goin to buy the guns at a store!

If you do enough things that make Roman happy (the thumbs up icon after completing a task) he will call you and offer you Car Service. You go into your phone, go to Roman's name in the phone book and Car Service is listed. Dial that and Roman will send a car for you.

Usually the game only allows you to park one car here. But there's actually a very simple method of storing two.

If you park a car at one end of the yellow parking zone outside your house, you'll easily have room to fit another behind it. But this is not enough! If you leave or save the game now, the first car you park will disappear. But if you park the first car, then park the second, then get out of the second car, and get in the first. Get out of the first car and leave or save your game, and both cars should still be there.

If you go into the alleyway behind the Pereztroika Night Club and go through the double red doors, you can get into the backstage area. Follow the stairs down past the stage and go into the office. In the corner is the mini game Queb3d video game.

If your low on health then you should either have something to eat or Sleep on your bed. Note that you don't actually have to save to replenish your health, just pressing when on the bed is enough.

Is your car broken down, and wont start? Well, just dial 911 on your mobile phone, and it will suddenly start up again.

Go to the third islands mansion at the most northenly point and look behind the garages. The car is in some bushes.It is very fast and very cool!!

If you want to see the location of a certain Pigeon (GTA4's Hidden Packages) or a Weapon/Armour location, then head on down to Tw@t Internet Cafe and enter the following web address: www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com. This will allow you to switch between maps showing the following:

1. Pigeon Locations
2. Weapon Locations
3. Armour Locations
4. Ramps / Stunt Locations
5. Health Pickups
6. Entertainment Locations (Where to take friends)
7. Parked Car Locations

call 498-555-0100, and lazlow will ID the song you're listening to. (requires being inside a vehicle)

If you bring up your cell phone while driving in a car and select the camera, the car will instantly stop. The is no stopping time. It just stops right there.

During gameplay press the button on the D-Pad to bring up Niko's mobile phone. Press again and you'll be able to see the phone's numbered buttons which are used to dial various numbers. Using the D-Pad toggle over the appropriate buttons in the same order, pressing to enter them. After you've the 10 digit code, the phone will automatically shift the cursur to the 'Call' button. Press again and it will activate the cheat.


Some cheats have the unfortunate side-effect of stopping certain achievements (future Entitlements) from being carried out, and you will be given a message saying the Achievement has been blocked when you activate the cheat. Cheats which are known to block wanted level will have a (*) next to it.

Well if you're going after a car and you want it but it wont stop there is a way too stop it. Press circle and he will hit the car, the driver will come out of the car they will either run of or want too fight.

In the game you will come across potentially hundreds of secrets and clues that you'll never realise lead to something more till you try them. One such thing is available at Tw@t internet cafe. When you go on any computer within Tw@t, you'll be able to go online and enter the webaddress of any site, however, the internet there isn't the same here, there are only certain web addressess that work.
