Skip the sign draft picks screen, and go to re-order draft. This will simulate all rookie signings. (make sure you have the "cpu" signing assistance turned off). At the "re-order depth chart" step, press o to go back to rosters. Find your drafted rookies under "all NFL" and they will have the blank free agent uniforms on. You can then sign them at a MUCH cheaper price. Draft selection # greatly increases their salary demand, but not when they're un-signed rookies. **Must be done before the start of pre-season, otherwise the un-signed drafted rookies disappear.
