Database   print me

I know the database isn't exactly for cheating but i was fed up with having a transfer budget at Man Utd £10million less than Shacktar Donesk. So i gave United something like £30million, deleted thier loan debt and made foster and rooney all 20 on relevent stats. I then gave united Torres, Kaka, Robinho and Messi and made all thier stats 20 (except controversy and injury proneness). I also gave Andrily Voronin to Donesk.

David villa has a realease clause of £24m but i can't buy him chelsea always buy him for £40m + for some silly reason!!

Defoe is usually sold for around £10.5m

Dagoberto is pure qualty from athletico paranese for £1.4 million which is a bargain because he is a 20 goal a season striker, he is worth way more and the bid is only accepted due to his minimum fee release clause

Demo cheat to get expensive players   print me

If you want to sign any player they want on the demo, to see what they are like or just generally cheat...

Make an offer for a player and set the fee to £0. Add a clause of 40million ( or whatever ) in the "After 50 league appearences." Since it being a 6 month demo, you dont pay it back.

Note: Wont work with some major players. You'll need to be Chelsea or another team with large transfer funds, or the deal will fall through.

Formation Cheat   print me

Gain an advantage by setting all the in-built tactics to the same formation.
Make the computer team less likely to score by setting the forwards to run to and from the wide central midfield positions - your central defenders should be first to the ball each time it is played into the box.
Really want to make it easy, put all the opposition players out to wide positions and attack down the middle.

To do;
Create a new tactic and save.
Using the Edit tactic option, "export" the tactic to the fm2007/data/tactic folder and overwrite each of the in-built tactics with your chosen cheat tactic.
Then start a new game.

**Do not attempt to overwrite tactics in Windows Explorer for this version of the game **

This cheat works for CM3 & CM4 also, but you can use Windows Explorer for that.

It does not guarantee you will win every game.

NB; Might take a few goes to makes sure you find a tactic that doesn't produce either 0-0 or 20 - 0 results for all the background games. A 4-4-2 with attackers tracking back to ML /MR positions has meant I can play with 2 Central Defenders and one Central DM, freeing up more players to attack the opposition. Still lose games, so still fun.

I am Southend, 4th season in Championship, and every year My media prediction is in the bottom 3. I have stayed up every year, and even got the England job in the 3rd season. Freddy Eastwood is just fantastic!!1st season, scored 23, considering a 2 month injury, 2nd season, scored 27, 3rd season scored 19, an on this season, after playing 12 games so far, has already scored 9. I put him in my England team were he has played 4, scored 6!!!

Theres also a 16/17 year old at Athletico Madrid worth 15m and is only paid £90 a week. If you get an offer accepted (around £18m), even if you offer him a 5 year £130,000 a week deal with every possible bonus he still won't sign and just keeps accepting £90 a week offers from Athletico!

Also another player, think it was something Gonzalez, anyway he's a SW / DC. World class player and can be picked up for around £11m. Problem is he keeps failing the medical because he's out injured for 7-8 months. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Silva, David Villa and Raul Albiol for Valencia. I am Man. Utd and Villa won the golden boot with 35 goals in the prem and silva came second with twenty seven goals and Raul albiol is the most expensive defender in the world.

at the beginning of the season aliou cisse is a free transfer and is a gd championship signing. if u start with walsall then u can always get james vaughan (the nxt liniker!) on loan and he wants to come!!! teddy sheringham is listed at the beginning and will only cost u about 100k. at hte end of my season i signed millions of wikid players on free or really cheap like hasselbaink, vieri, horsfield, dwight yorke, robbie fowler (my top scorer) and loads more there are tons of players on free!!! (i got these players with q.p.r)

Southern/Northen/Natonwide Conferance - Players For Nothing [Selected Few]   print me

This is more help mainly with Northen and Southern English League teams, but there are a good few players you can buy at the start of the season for nothing from Championship Reserve teams. To find them and get them, look in

"Player Search" --> "Filter" --> "Customise" -->

Have your Assistant Manager ticked to help you out on this and chose the following

"Age - 18-25" --> "Transfer Status - Transfer Listed"

And then search, it will come up with around 15 players. Now all you gotta simply do is look through them and find players you want. As you can see there Valuation is around £1k - £30k but all you gotta do is offer that team £0 for that player and they will allow you to talk contracts with him. And this is it really.

I am Valnecia and i agree Villa, Silva, and Albiol are great players. Villa scores every game but hardly scores more than 1 a game. Silva is the best goalscoring winger ever and Albiol is just pure class at centre back.
A few great players to buy are Lenny, Palacio, and Anderson.

So who said you need all the well known players, i got out there and tried different players, and got yeovil from league two, to the prem, to winning it.

4-3-3, CARLOS VELA   print me

I've read through all the tips and no-one has mentioned Carlos Vela from Arsenal, he's on loan at Salamanca at the start of the game but I recalled him and put him straight into my team when Henry got injured, I was so impressed I changed my formation to 4-3-3 just to accomodate him. I've just finished my 5th season now and have won the Champions League x2 Premier League x2 (runner-up first 3 seasons to Chelsea) FA Cup x2 League Cup x3 Charity Shield x4 Internationl Super cup x2 World Club Cup Championships x2, Vela is and Indispensable part of my team, so much so the I've just turned down a £75million bid from Chelsea, also in 4-3-3 if you put Henry in the centre he will break ALL Goalscoring records, he's got an Average of 48 goals in the first 4 seasons but dropped a little last season, he only got 35 last season, but that said he is 34 now!! I thinl I'll go and look for a few players reccomended on this site for a replacement, REMEMBER, PUT HENRY IN THE MIDDLE!!

In Like 2009, look at Arsenal reserves, there is a young keeper called Ricky Ball. Buy him for 500k (ish) and then get a keeper (I USED Paul Robinson) to tutor him. He had a few 20's wen I bought him and in 2011 only let in 8 goals. I was spurs.

Buy Podolski - pure class

Luke Moore is amazing, I had him in my England team (who won Euro 2008, confederations cup and world cup) and he scored the most in all 3 cups. He has about 60 goals in 45 caps for me.

Akinfeev is good to get as well ..

My goalie is Supple, who I bought for 14K and is now valued at 4.2 Mill!

Lee Camp (GK): 35 goals all season. £2-5 mill.

Matty Taylor (Dl/R): great defender good long range shots. £5-7.5 mill.

Da Marcus Beasley (AML/R): Fantastic winger but cost £8.5 mill.

Shaun W-P (AMR): As good as Beasley. only cost £9.75 mill.

Anthony Vanden Borre- AMAZING.
Tuia (training).
Del Horno- he is great, but needs SOME training.
Kompany- AMAZING.
Micah Richards.
Evra.

Midfield:
Nani (training).
Merida (training).
David Bentley- he is great, but takes about two seasons to get him to his full potential. Still, very good player.
Joaquin- expensive and hard to get, however! He will definitelly become the leading midfielder in your team.
Kieran Richardson (training).

Fowards/Strikers:
Allan Smith- He becomes the best striker in the team, but you need to get him trained up as much as possible.
Rooney... obviously.
David Villa- very expensive but amazing.
Freddy Eastwood- lots of peaople critisize him on this web, but if you give him some intensive training, he will score every game, if not, then he will create lots of attacks, and gets lots of assists.

These players are AMAZING, but you need to be patient with them.
I\'m MAN UTD, and I\'ve won 4 premiership seasons in the row, 3 championship, 2 FA cup, and many other little ones with these players. I hope this will help you.

I made Shechenko tutor him about 5-7 times and on the first season (age 16) he scored 27 goals), 2nd season 28 goals, 3rd season 19 goals, 4th season 25 goals, and on my current season he scored 34 goals! If you don't play as Chelsea, do ANYTHING to buy him. At the moment his price is 39.000.000 and he is 21 years old. With god training he becomes top. I even prefer him than Shevchenko!

If you are at the start of the season, don't spend ur many on bull**** players just spend 45.5m on raul albiol (minimum fee release clause). I started with Juventus I couldnt get him cuz i had financial problems but when i played Valencia he made a hattrick and he is a DEFENDER! Also Bojinov is a young star hurry up and buy him before he gets too expensive (09/10 currently 63m)scott sinclair is a kickass player scores 50 goals for the unders per season.Akinfeev is also a very good player-best keeper.Last if u need a speedy and an excellent left back, u should look no other than ryan bertrand. (free->5m maximum)

I am Liverpool in my first season...
I bought Kerlon from Cruzeiro for £7m, i am half way into the season and he has scored 23 goals. If you're gonna buy him play him as a striker or else he won't score and will become unhappy at the club. He needs a Permit but appeal and he'll get one.
I also bought Gago from Boca for £10m, he is consistent and has scored a few goals too. He has an average rating of 8.00 but has got three 10/10's already. He also needs a Permit but you'll definately get one.
Franck Ribery from Marseille for £15m is also a good buy. He may be expensive but scores nearly every game.
Don't splash out on world class players, usually the way they play outside of the game is not the way they play in the game. I bought Torres in another game and Villa in another and they don't get many goals.

i found one of the best players on the games has to be freddy adu at dc united he is 17 years old and plays on the left of midfield. He displaced ryan giggs from my team and ended up with around 20 assists all season. if you retrain him to be a left midfielder rather than an attacking midfielder it helps him and he plays better. Yohann Gourcuff is amazing as well he plays for ac milan and he is 20 years old, he is very creative so play him in a free role in centre midfield and put his creative thing on tactics up to much.

Luizao (Cruziero) - Young, very good, brazilian central defender, only 3-4 mil.
Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid) - Young but still very good forward. After 3 or 4 years he becomes the best forward on the game averaging 40 - 50 goals a season, may be a bit costly @ 20 mil but has been bought for only 5 mil. so it depends.
Nani (Sporting) - Young winger, becomes one of the best after 2-3 seasons,c. 10 mil.

Ok, Recently I have started a new game as wolves. The first thing I noticed is Jay who is valued around 2 million (one of the highest values at the club.) Is a complete flop. He has plenty off shots and can score hat tricks, but their is one problem. He misses half his shots and even then only scores about half the shots he gets on target. His passes hardly ever reach and he just loves to lose possession. So half way through the season I needed to buy a replacement so I began looking around at certain players. Then one player struck my eye. A young 19 year old called Danny Haynes. I knew straight away after looking at his stats I had to have him. I put up a bid of 500k and in 2 days he was mine. On his Debut he Scored 4 goals!!! He is deffo 100% a exciting young player and his pace is magnificent! Also Baidoo is a stunning young player as well. He isn't selfish so he can set up your main scorer quite allot even though he has a good shot in him himself. I suggest you pick him up on loan or put a 500k-750k offer in at the begging of the season. The longer the game goes on the longer Q.P.R want to keep him and charge higher amounts. Also If you get your training right Mudgrew will become a excellent player. Though probably harder to buy. Lennon of course will become a great player to any squad since his pace can outrun most people.

Once you're further into the game it's a good idea to try and buy players from clubs in the Spanish Leagues. Spanish sides are forced to give their players minimum release clauses and I've noticed that the AI sets it at the same price they buy them at (sometimes changes higher or lower but it's usually the same price they pay for the player). This means that you're likely to get the player you're looking for for a lower price compared to players from the other leagues because you don't need to go above the estimated value for the player. Also, the Spanish league tends to bring in a lot of Argentinians and Brazilians, who seem to be much better quality than other country's players.

I was Napoli (start off in Serie B). I had to buy cavenagi from past experience (FM2006 - i had him for 3 seasons and he scored an incredible 164 goals thats over 50 a season, i had to admit i had the dearest team in the world).

Anyway i managed to buy him for 10 mil in my 3rd season (second in serie A) and i was not disapointed. His 1st season 29 goals, second season 57 goals, this season played 21 games has 39 goals.

Kevin Austin - didnt actually sign him but he is very gd in lower leagues and will want to come i think cos ive got him before with a league 2 team and he only wanted a backup squad status.

At the start of the game, he is quality. Bought him for Ajax (£10m) and he scored 20 goals in his first season and it took him 3 months to settle in and he still managed 20 in the season. He proceded to score 30 a season for 3 years afterwards, after which he was sold for 5m.
He is a striker with amazing dribbling, pace acceleration, and finishing. He has a tendency to blast the ball, meaning he misses quite a few, but he scores more, and makes a lot of goals with his pace and dribbling.

Like most people here, I agree that Okaka is an absolute quality player but buy him after 3 or 4 seasons unless you have quality training facilities.

Started as Man City.. bought him in 2nd season..cnt remember how much.. no more than £2m. Score 22goals in the season before i bought him n then left him in under 18\'s for a year. scored 25goals for them. i didnt use him much though (shame). Then left city n season after Real Madrid bought him for bout £10M!! got in their first team n got 24+ goals each season.. bought him bk with arsenal for £23m three seasons later and worth money. i wud say he can miss 1 on 1\'s, low composure i guess but burries enough elsewhere.
