The AOpen DVD-1648 E-IDE DVD ROM drive reads CD ROM discs at 48x speed and sports 256 KB of buffer. At 16x speed, the drive transfers up to 22160 KB/sec while reading DVD and DVDR/RW discs. The drive uses a tray loading mechanism, and supports up to UDMA 66.
