amazing image quality, and fast as hell, man i can't understand why you would need to get any faster then this...THE BAD:
maybe the driver support, but i had no problems so far, and they're suppose to be coming out with detonator 3 type drivers...same performance boost.. SUMMARY:
i recently had a tnt2 ultra which i loved, reliable as hell, and graphics were also really good on that. i got a p2 350 with too much crap on it so its slow as can be. Then i bought a radeon to begin my upgrade process, awesome image quality in q3, half life sof u name it...and fast even with my p2, listen to this, i set everything to high quality 32 bit, highest it can be at, resolution i had it set at 1600 x 1200, and i was getting up to 45 fps, honest to god, with a p2 350 and 128mb ram and a bx mobo, honest! i can send you a screenshot to prove it...this card smokes the gf2, i heard so many complaints about that card...then you get those hardcore fps fans, who claim that it kills the radeon, nah don't think so, image radeon kill it, speed is around the same, like i said before why would you want to go any faster, its good enough, who cares, and features also smoke the gf2....don't worry about the driver rumours, as long as you update your system and make sure everything can accept it, and set it to vga first when installing the card...i had no problems what so ever, most hassle free install i ever had...i'm damn impressed so far, and i haven;t even upgraded to a p3/athlon.
If your looking for a good upgrade, and can dish out the cash, get this card, i didn't believe all the reviews either until i bought it...i hope i helped you out..even though i keep on babblin |
