THE BAD:
the one I got shorted out when I mounted it to teh wall

SUMMARY:
Don't get me wrong I like netgear equipment but this thing has a defective design when it comes to mounting options. The back of the switch has two holes for mounting it to the wall. The spacer designed to protect the circuit board inside from the screw used to mount the unit is way to thin. In addition the space allowed for the mounting hole is way to small and restrictive. I was somewhat carefully sizing screws to mount it with when the switch shorted. This should not of happened, it may have been defective or it may me a design defect! who's to say-- just watch your ass if you try to mount it...it ill blow before you know what happened!

SUMMARY:
I have had this unit on my home network for well over a year. It makes printing from all the computers much simpler. I am ordering a Netgear RT314 for my Internet router. The only time I needed tech support was with a Netgear NIC (my fault). They were there for me with just the right advice, TOLL FREE!!!
