Asus Core 2 Mobo Roundup
- FiringSquad |
| "...we’re awarding the P5W DH Deluxe our Editor’s Choice Award. No other Core 2-compliant motherboard that’s available on the market today can match it in terms of both basic features, performance, and accessories. It truly is the best board out there if you’re looking for a board that delivers a nice mixture of bells and whistles with a solid BIOS and good performance. If you’ve got an unlimited budget for your next motherboard upgrade and don’t need SLI, it would be the board to get in our opinion. A lot of people won’t fall into this category however, and that’s why ASUS offers multiple choices for Core 2 CPUs at this time." |

Asus Core 2 Duo Mobo Roundup
- GamePC |
| "As a single graphics card user, I found that the feature set and price tag of the Asus P5B Deluxe was the most impressive of the bunch. It’s a bit less expensive compared to Intel 975X motherboards, but it does feature Intel’s new ICH8R Southbridge and consumes less power compared to the 975X as well. Performance wise, it will give 95-100% of the performance of the 975X. In my eyes, it’s got the best mix of price / performance / features / overclockability. It’s not the best board in any one of these categories, but it’s above average in all of them, which makes it a very solid platform overall. This is our pick." |

Asus P5W DH Deluxe vs. P5B Deluxe Review
- Legion Hardware |
| "Without a doubt I have here two of the best Core 2 Duo ready motherboards on the market. The ASUS P5W DH Deluxe and P5B Deluxe are superb in just about every way. In fact, other than their price tags, I really have no complaints as they impressed me every step of the way. The question is which board will you choose? Priced at $250 US the P5W DH Deluxe it not for everyone, but then the P5B Deluxe is not exactly cheap at $230 US either. When you break it down, there is not a whole lot of difference between these two motherboards." |

Asus P5W DH & M2N32-SLI Review
- t-break |
| "...these are two excellent boards by ASUS and surely worthy of consideration if you plan on upgrading in the near future either to an AM2 or a Core 2 platform. Both these boards offer and excellent set of features such as multiple video cards configuration, dual Gigabit LAN, High Definition audio and RAID support along with external SATA. While we’ve used the highest-end CPUs for benchmarking, chances are that most people will settle for something closer to the medium-end. Enthusiasts will find great options for overclocking their CPUs using either of these boards and bring performance levels close to the numbers we’ve showed in the previous pages. For the casual overclocker, both these boards support automatic /dynamic overclocking." |

Asus P5B/P5N32-SLI/P5W DH Review
- Tech Report |
| "Thankfully, all three are easy to recommend, it's just a question of to whom. For SLI gamers with Gigabit home networks, the P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe is the only logical choice. The P5W DH Deluxe, on the other hand, favors deep-pocketed CrossFire fans and those looking to make their PC a media hub. That leaves the P5B Deluxe Wifi-AP Edition, which is best for south bridge Serial ATA RAID junkies and enterprising overclockers. If I had to pick one for my personal workstation, the P5B would be it, but I'd disable that pathetic PCI Gigabit Ethernet controller right away." |

"...this is one expensive desktop motherboard, however in this instance we believe you get what you pay for! Highly recommended. *NB* one thing to note is that the release BIOS of the P5WDH is NOT Core 2 Duo supporting, so be sure to insist on a model with the newer BIOS."
"Overall, the Asus P5W DH Deluxe is a very good board for the Core2Duo platform. Its CPU performance confirmed this and with a very good price (US$219.99 ~ $259.00). We should indicate that the Asus P5B Deluxe is somewhat cheaper at $193.99 ~ $243.6, while the Asus P5W64WS Pro is at US$295.00 ~ $337.48. If money is not an issue, then it really comes down to features/bundle of each board. If you are thinking of putting together a home entertainment system, then the Asus P5W DH Deluxe may just be the ticket."
"On the positive side of things, ASUS has a top-notch board that’s chocked full of more features than you can shake a stick at. Best of class is what this board is presenting and as long as you don’t mind being limited on your dual GPU choices, this board is sure to please anyone."
"There are very little reasons not to like the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe. It is feature-packed, above average power design, stable, overclockable, performs well within expectations of a high-end LGA775 board and is silent. The board is indeed drool worthy, but as expected, the P5W DH Deluxe will knock your finances back to the Stone Age."
"Regardless of if you're a new user looking to build your first Intel-based system or you're an experienced overclocker, the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe needs to be considered if you need a quality motherboard to provide a base for a high-end system."
