THE GOOD: Enough bios option for overclocking, including CPU Vcore up to 1.55v plus an additional 0.14v if required. This is irrespective of CPU type. Pretty decent overclocker. Two Sata II ports, including RAID options. Four memory slots (Abit's equivalent only gives you two.) Everything else pretty much standard. THE BAD: Very hot and large north-bridge heat-sink, really requires a small fan. The north-bridge heat-sink is quite close to the CPU socket and some types of large heat-sinks may not fit. I am thinking about the very large round ones from Thermaltake. PCI-E slot very close to north-bridge heat-sink, may cause problems with some types of video cards. Also any extra long video cards would interfere with the locking levers of the first two memory slots. CPU Vcore option in bios tends to under volt. Bios unable to go above a HT frequency of 270MHz.
SUMMARY: Bios version 54AW1P40 still does not enable HT frequency above 270MHz. The board needs a decent bios Foxconn! Still a good overclocking board, especially for the CPU Vcore options.
