Logitech G15

Overall Logitech did a great job re-working the G15. They kept it true to the original while making some changes that evolved the G15 into this new product.

In conclusion, I find myself a little bitter because of the final outcome. I really had high hopes for the new G15 2007 Programmable LCD Gaming Keyboard, but I am left with the impression that the Logitech 920-000379 was rushed to market. Gaming keyboards are tough to get perfect, but in my opinion this product needed more time at the drawing board before it made retail shelves. The new G15 2007 looks unbeatable; at least until you expect that much out of it.

Those two caveats aside, I can easily recommend the G15 as the best gaming/enthusiast PC keyboard out right now – it’s a must have for just about any kind of computer user.

We’ve been using the original G15 Gaming Keyboard as our home keyboard for the past eight months or so, and the G15 is very similar, but slightly better in our opinion. The biggest difference is that the keys feel better, the backlighting is softer, and there are enough new features to make it truly superior to its predecessor. Though we would not sell our G15 Gaming Keyboard for this newer model, the G15 has enough upgrades to warrant a serious look if you’re in the market for a superb gaming keyboard.

Logitech reasserts itself as one of the leading makers of gaming keyboards with the new G15. The typing feel is good enough for gaming and full days of normal typing as well. The vast majority of gamers will never miss the extra macro keys on the new G15 and will find the current G15 is nearly perfect.
