Don't be fooled by the biased review on Bjorn3D (their primary sponsor is XFX). This card would have been great if XFX hadn't cut so many corners.
The fan always runs at full speed, so the card is really loud, even when you're just browsing the web. The heat sink is super-thin and can't handle the heat generated by the card - which explains why the fan is always running at 100%.
A number of users have experienced compatibility problems when hooking this card up to an analog monitor. The entire screen is overcast by a blue or pink haze.
Many people have purchased this card only to see it fail in under a month. In some cases the board fails catastrophically, generating smoke and damaging other components. Yet XFX still claims there's nothing wrong with these boards. Be sure to search the web for other reviews before buying! |
