Should I have more Intake fans or more Exhaust fans in my case?
    ANSWER

A good recommendation is to try to have more air going into the case than out. This creates what we call "positive pressure" inside the case. If you have a good sealed case it's possible to use positive pressure to direct exhaust by the passive exhaust (escape) of air through available exit points.

By Gxcad in the Neoseeker forums explains:

There is a big advantage to having a positive pressure inside of the case (more intake, air leaking out). This setup of having more intake air tends to reduce dust dramatically since air is desperate to get OUT, you don't get much outside air into the case except through the (hopefully) filtered intakes. Air will basically exit any hole it can find, so it will tend to exit the rear unused fan slots, psu, and any uncovered expansion card slots.

For this reason, if you have positive pressure inside your case, opening the expansion card slot directly beneath the videocard will cause air to be moved past the videocard heatsink and straight out the case, thus reducing videocard temps. The temp drop can be quite significant, nice trick eh?

You should have more fans pushing air out of your computer case. The reason for this is to get the hotter air out and away from the computer. Better designed computer cases or computer desktop cases that have air convection as part of their design will take into account the air flow requriemetn and have ait shrowds around computer CPUs intended to have the air be pushed or pulled past.
