THE GOOD:
good acting. i liked the way they portrayed the playTHE BAD:
um, not much here. just, the general cornyness of the story. and boringness. SUMMARY:
ahem, please excuse my strange pun i used for the title. anyways, this miovie is based on shakepeare's a midsummer nights dream,. in fact, not only is it based on it, it IS it. anyway, to get you familliar with the plot, there are 4 main characters. lysander, who is a rich boy who is in love with hermia. hermia is also in love with lysander. then there is demitrius: the son of an annoying wealthy tycoon egeus. he loves hermia too. because of his fathers wealth and power, he want's to make hermia marry him or else she'll be executed! or become a nun and remain a virgin her entire life, but who wants that? egeus gets theseus, (the duke),'s permission to go ahead with that plan. anyway, then there is the lone helena: in the book, she is described as short, dumb, and hint's that she is fat. no one loves her, but strangley, she loves demitrius. in fact, the book even hints that demitrius and helena were once amrried. but they were definatly lovers at some point. so, to avoid execution, hermai and lysander run off into the woods and get lost. helena hears of this plan, so she tell demitrius about it, knowing that because demitrius loves hermai he's follow her! but this is just a plan for helena to follow demitrius around. anyway, at some point, the fairy king and queen try to interveen with the lovers and change to thoughts. but i won't say to much. you gotta see the movie, pal! or read the book.
