Fresh-faced Police Officer Ty Davis Jr. (Coby Bell) deals with life as a rookie and Paramedic Monte "Doc" Partner (Michael Beach) takes newbie Carlos Nieto (Anthony Ruivivar) under his wing. The impulsiveness of the hot-headed Officer Maurice "Bosco" Boscorelli (Jason Wiles) tests the patience of his partner Faith Yokas (Molly Price) and angers colleague John "Sully" Sullivan (Skip Sudduth). Paramedic Bobby Caffey (Bobby Cannavale) secretly longs for his co-worker Kim Zambrano (Kim Raver), who may still be in love with her handsome firefighter ex-husband Jimmy Doherty (Eddie Cibrian).
