Well I'm so frustrated I nearly smashed my controller to pieces. I feel like Bill Murray's character in "Groundhog Day". I keep spawning in front of two guys shooting at me. Anyway, I can't fight off the second wave with the copters dropping off more enemies. I survive until the rescue chopper arrives but I die getting to what's his name? to carry him to the chopper.

I mean MOTHER FATHER! That's a damn hard mission. I used all of my claymores on the first wave and THAT sucks @$$! I don't remember it being this hard on the normal setting. Any help is desired. I think I may have to restart the mission if I can't get past this.

When your claymores and Cpt. MacMillan have taken care of the first wave, run to the fences near the apartment block and lay C4s along them. Hold on to the detonator and run to the grassy area behind the bumper car arena. Hold your position no matter what - stay low and keep your RPD handy to take the odd straying enemies. When your evac chopper is here, blow the charges, gun down the few enemies between you and the Captain, and use the lull to get to the Captain. Carry him back to the chopper ASAP - while you're carrying him, you seem to be able to take many more shots and not dying.

There's a video in the other thread showing somewhat of a "glitch"(more of a displacement of pathing) where you can hide in a corner for a majority of the hold up and most to pretty much all the waves of soldiers won't know how to get around the corner to get to you. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

I had trouble as well when the second wave of copters came in. What I did was rush to the left end of the buildings where you previously came from. That way, the extra soldiers don't keep re-spawning from the back and you can use the buildings as cover. No enemies approached me, only from long range; they continue to head towards MacMillan. I did run into some dogs though.

If you leave MacMillan by himself, for some reason he doesn't die and pretty much kills anyone that comes near him. I provided backup until the copter arrived.

When the copter came, I cleared a few guys and hauled ass back to MacMillan. The soldiers from the copter can back you up. I honestly got lucky and didn't die.

The funny thing was that I made it just in time soon after the pilot said "we're out of here."

Hmm, I had trouble with this mission on hardened, screw doing it on veteran. gl.

I just hid around the bumber car area and sniped people off as they came. Then shot the dog. Then detonated the C4, then sniped the people from the heli's. Then just picked off minors and ran to MacMillan.

#@%^&! I finally did it! I don't think I have used so much profanity in my life.

I hung out behind the bumper cars and sniped like a mad man. When the chopper landed I ran to the Cap. laying everyone else out. Then for some reason I had a hard time getting on the chopper but I did.

Yeah, those dumbasses get in your way of the entrance so you have to go AROOOUUUNNND them. Euurgh, they got me killed so many times because they couldn't move their fat asses.

That's about it, though...

Is there a good damn checkpoint in "No Fighting in the War Room"? I would be through with this mission if I had a checkpoint. No checkpoints suck!

They are so random. At one point I got past the whole basement and died near where I needed to blow the wall up with no checkpoint. That pissed me off.
