I was just wondering how long games usually stay active on xbox live, for example, Call Of Duty 4 will be very active on live at the moment but how long will it stay like that before people stop going on it.

That was probably a stupid question but I was just wondering because my xbox is currently away for repair so I haven't had a chance to get onto live from home.

As soon as a 'Halo' or 'GTA' hyped game is released.

Call of Duty 2 has been around for ages, and some people still play. So Call of Duty 4 = Ages till dead.

Gears is still in the Top5 most played games on live. Call of Duty will still be active when you get it back.

Gears had a moment where there was very few people online in December. But now the ratio of people online is just right.

A good thing with CoD 4 is you can actually see how many people are playing each gametype.

game seem to go dead when a really big release comes e.g halo and gta.

SO when Gta comes out other gaes will have a lot less players.

But in the end it balances out. Like when halo came out pracicly everyone was playing it, and the only ones who wernt were the ones who didnt own it yet. But now its balanced out.
