Laptop Sound

All of a sudden one day, my laptop ceased to play any sound. Then just as suddenly, it played sound again, but the sound is barely audible, even when I turn it up to the maximum. I've looked in the Control Panel, Volume Control, everything, and everything is set as high as it can go, and there's only barely any sound. A little help, please?

re: Laptop Sound

I've had weird situations with laptop audio before, a first step can be going to the manf. homepage and digging up the driver or a newer driver for it. Re-installing from there and seeing where things go.

Sometimes it can be that simple, if you're having trouble through the headphone jack it could be that the solder joint is breaking and causing problems as well. =/

For the moment I'd say do the driver first and see where it gets you for now.

re: Laptop Sound

Well, I've reinstalled the driver, but the volume hasn't changed. It's still just as faint as before.

And the headphone jack is fine. No problems.

Mind me asking why you use that colour text?

It's bloody hard to read.
