[rant] If rocker from the British Isles who watches the music channels on Sky on Sky+ you may or may not have noticed the surge in pop punk/pop rock bands on Kerrang and Scuzz. My personal opinion is how did they get so *bleep*ing famous. All it is the same chords and beat. I flicked it on this morning and it was 2 different chords and an electronic backing. This is driving me to the brink of insanity. I can drum what the drummer is doing and my friends who have had little to no lessons could probably play there stuff. Bloody corporations and their lust for cash and ratings. [rant/]. Whats everyone elses opinion on said rant.

If it sounds good people listen to it. Doesn't matter how easy or hard it is to play.

It doesn't have to be super technical for people to like it. People like music because they think it sounds good regardless of how many chords it uses or how easy it is to create. Stop thinking of little things about music and just enjoy it for what it is.

I always found it weird that those types of bands got onto Kerrang. Always thought Kerrang was the heavy channel and the Foos was about as light as it got on there, though this is me going back like... uh... seven or eight years now.

The thing i can't stand about Kerrang is how it always sucks up to the same bands over and over again, I know that they want to sell their magazine so they have to print most on the favourite rock bands, however it would be nice if they introduced new bands once in a while, but they never do, until a new rock band becomes popular. So they play the same things on their channel as they are more likely to get viewers, everyone knows who sum 41 and blink 182 are right? its even worse with the radio channel :L
