Ninja Gaiden II is easily one of the best action games on Xbox 360. The depth in combat is as exciting as ever and the new gameplay additions and changes only add to the experience. The game has been focused from its predecessor into a more pure action affair, for better or for worse, but the formula remains the same -- frustrating camera and all. It's challenging and rewarding. It looks great in motion and it feels great to know you're the one at the helm, directing this bloody dance. It has its foibles and doesn't feel as rich as the last Ninja Gaiden, but this sequel still offers up a great ride. Start doing thumb exercises now. Your poor fingers are going to be worn out by the time you get through this adrenaline pumping blast.

The reasons for not getting 9+ are total bullshit. The only problem they had was "repetition of bosses and framerate dropping."

Shouldn't have taken off .5 points, let alone 1.3.

Cant wait for NGII it has been a challenging and very stisfying game.

The only way I wouldn't buy NG2 is if there was a major flaw in it somehow but from I've read it seems like more of the same which is good enough for me, I just hope it impresses compared to Sigma.

There are quite a few reviews out there now, and so far I haven't seen anything that worries me at all.

The most common complaints are the camera and the story, just like last time. If you want a great story and buy a Team Ninja game, you're an idiot. That's not what their games are about. Their stories are always just a setup for the action.

As for the camera, unless it's really different from the one in NGB, there is nothing to complain about. Let's be logical here. Your poor Xbox can't possibly read your mind and always show you the enemy that you'll want to deal with next when you're surrounded and engaged in a fast-paced battle (which is pretty much all the time). Those reviewers are basically complaining about having to look somewhere in order to see what's there. The only way to spare you that little effort would be to give you an extremely wide view that would cause the game to lose a lot of it's appeal.

Some reviewers have held off giving a solid review of the game due to their early copy of it. Some camera issues have been claimed to be fixed for the retail version being released on Tuesday, so who knows, maybe these reviewers might re-review. xD

As long as you can press a button to re-center the cam, I don't see what the problem can be. You just pick a direction with the left stick and press a trigger whenever you want to look somewhere.

Do you guys actually read these reviews? While the camera is an issue, the main issue is the fact most of the game simply isn't polished. The action is brilliant, but everything else didn't have as much attention put into it. The downside in puting so much focus into the combat was that they didn't bother making everything else as excellent.

I fail to see how it wasn't polished. Their complaints didn't fall on that so much as it was the difficulty.

_{In his eyes the 360 is the power console. NG2 is published by MS which means its an exclusive. But I blame him for doing it. Regardless NG2 won't be coming for PS3, but I won't be surprised if Sigma 2 comes out for PS3. NG2 was HIS LAST, not the last NG ever. Same for Dead or Alive.}
