Well, it happened. The sensor bar's thin wire was crushed by the fatness of my TV. Isn't it great? I hope the candle trick works.

yeh im pretty sure it will work.
Me and my friend (Murray3) use to play at his house and there was this light above the tv taht use to sometimes 'attract' the wii mote's sensor.
so im pretty sure this will definetly work.

you just need two candles set at a good distance with the flame visible to the Wii-mote's sensor.
or you could buy two LED lights from radioshack or whatever for $2 and make a wirless sensor bar (youtube it)

I know you can buy replacement Sensor Bars, I've seen them.

Also, couldn't you just cut and splice the broken wire and fix it with electrical tape???? Seems like this would be the best option IMO.

The sensor bar is simply an IR (infrared) source, the camera in the Wiimote does all the work. Since candles also emit IR light, they can work just like the sensor bar. Really, any source of IR light will do, hence why your cursor goes insane with sunlight.
