Lawrence Kutner, co-director of the Center for Mental Health and Media at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, disputed the police chief's claim that the firebombings were "another strong example of the serious ramifications that can come from letting impressionable teens play violent video games like this one."

"If you look at the whole population, youth violent crime has gone down dramatically since the 1990s while playing computer games has gone up exponentially," Kutner said.

"It may be that a kid attracted to criminal behavior is also attracted to violent games," he said. "You can't make the simple statement that if you expose a kid to violent games, then he'll become violent" in life.

While Kutner makes a good point, any even better one to make is that GTA never actually teaches you how to make Molotov cocktails. Use them? Perhaps. Make them? No way.

I knew how molotovs were made by watching A view to a Kill which I do believe was made in the 80's! Are they really suggesting GTA should be banned when these weapons have appeared in hundreds of action films?

I've played GTAIV... I don't think it actually taught me how to make Molotovs... if someone can show me a video clip or anything of them making a molotovl from scratch, then I'll believe it, otherwise the 'police cheif' was just talking bull.

Will you guys STOP blindly defending Rockstar? Or have you forgotten that mission in IV where you have to go to the store and buy a bottle of soda, drink the soda then go to the gas station and buy gasoline? Remember, how you have to put the gas into the bottle and douse a wet rag with the gasoline, stuff it into the bottle and away you go??

oh wait, i think it was before the mission where we had to kill those plants, and i think a coupla missions after the ones where you had to beat up old taxi drivers....

Molotovs are a piece of cake to make....Nice bit of petrol, nice bottle and a nice bit of rag and your good to go.....Simple.
