Sacked |

What is it with clubs sacking managers so early into the season? I just took a quick look on the BBC Website, Sports Section and noticed that Colchester United and Port Vale both sacked their manager, couple that with Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago, it made me wonder. Why do they do it so early in the season? ------------------- ![]()

Chairmen demand instant results nowadays. With the amount of money that is pumped into football, taking your time really isn't an option even though it is clearly needed. ------------------- ![]()

I don't get it to be honest. Even sacking a manager around Christmas time I don't get, because it's extremely difficult for a manager to come in halfway through a season and turn things around. Biggest problem is having people that don't know football calling the shots, really. -------------------

I find it really quite stupid sacking managers half way through the season without a permanent replacement lined up. Surly the current manager would be able to do a better job than the caretaker manager.
