I went to play some COD4 with a friend and found myself unable to connect to XBL. It always until after the server update. So I did a connection test and all the tests come out good. The DNS, ICMP, everything. But when it comes to the XBL test it fails.

According to the other thread about the downtime, many people are experiencing some issues at the moment. I guess it could be an after-effect of the downtime yesterday?

Me too. I tried to connect for an hour , I finally did, then I got disconnected once again and I haven't tried to reconnect.

I was playing for about an hour or so earlier, when I went to play again (at about 8pm GMT) I couldn't get on. It just says that Xbox Live failed.

How infuriating.

I managed to get on after a few attempts, took a while though.

Just unplug your cable for a while from your router, well it worked for me.

I managed to get on after a few tries, but that's not the point. Everyone in a game on Halo 3 got disconnected from Live at the same time midgame, I'm pretty sure. I know I disconnected, and so did my friend I was in with.

I'm wondering if they're trying to fix everything. I'd guess it's another day down for Live, sort of.

Not to mention that they were also unable to obtain any exp when winning matches. I noticed that. I was like what this is messed up.
