I've been wondering for a while now. Most of the time, the cat is home alone because of school and work, so for about 8-10 hours the cat has to amuse itself. When my family is home, I'm the only one who will play with the cat, and so when I'm busy or not there, the cat has no one to play with. We don't let the cat outside, so it can't chase birds or whatever it is cats do outside. I don't know how well the cat can keep itself amused by smacking little jingly balls around for hours.

And if my cat is bored, what can I do about it?

I also have an "in-door" cat, its also very lazy and after two months it got bored and started crying at the window when it saw a bird but she couldn't play with it
I'd love to let her go outside but those damn cars drive to fast at were we live.
But now I've got this big cat-climbing tree and she plays with it all the time
She sits on the top of it like a proud little lion

We have no traffic where I live, so I'm not really sure why we don't let our cat out. Our vet says cats live longer indoors, and my mother and older brother are...rather protective of the cat.

Well, I have seen a few stray cats wandering around my backyard, so maybe they'd beat up my cat or something.

depends if your cat is very territorial or not but some cats only shhh! at each other and then run off.
When my cat sees a cat when she's watching at the window she get really angry,I bet if she could go outside that cat would be
or really beat up , well can't really blame her if she did cuz they want to protect their property
but I also am very protective of my cat! I don't want her to get hurt

Yeah, I wonder the same about my cat.

Though there are a lot of nasty stray cats in my area, I let my cat outside once and she got attacked, so to be honest I'd probably rather her stay indoors sleeping and entertaining herself than be outside getting attacked all the time D:
