Scooby-Doo / Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

Any of you seen it yet ? Anyway, here's the info about it ....

Scooby Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang take their animated antics to the big screen as a live-action movie. In this story, Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy have a bit of a falling out and go their separate ways, but they're drawn back together again by fate, in this case taking the form of the mysterious Spooky Island amusement park and the strange behavior being exhibited by the young visitors to the attraction. This is a case that only the Mystery Machine gang can tackle - if only they can get over their differences.

Truthfully, I am not very interested in this movie. I don't think that it will become that good of a sucess.

Nor am I. I already know they're changing stuff around. Like Daphnie being a martial arts master, in stead of helpless rich girl. If it's not gonna be the same as the original Scooby Doo, what's the point?

re: Scooby Doo !

Looking at the Trailer this film looks fun. The CGI Scooby looks good proving that this film couldn't have been made before now as a guy in a suit or a cartoon overlay just wouldn't have worked.

Having SMG in the cast can't harm the ratings either.

re: Scooby Doo !

Well, the movie was meant to attract the large masses of youth in today's world, so I can't find any reason for a 22 year old to go see a scooby doo movie, no offense or anything of that manner.

re: Scooby Doo !

i thought it was funny! but the ending was kinda (well at least i thought) predictable.

(dont read if you havent seen yet, or if you dont like the ending to be ruined)

i mean since the cartoon kinda kicked scrappy to the curb. i thought he might have been the villian in the movie.

I never gave a review about this movie. Well I thought it was one of the worst movies i've ever seen in my life. Now a frickin sequel? Are they trying to top the first one as being one of the worst movies ever?

Warners Wants Third Scooby
Another Scooby sequel and a live-action Jetsons are on the way!

quote
October 15, 2002 - With production on the Scooby sequel set to start some time next year, Warner Bros. is already putting a plan into motion to bring a third installment of the Doo franchise to the big screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety the studio has brought on screenwriting duo Dan Forman and Paul Foley to write a script, tentatively titled (here's the kicker) Scooby-Doo 3.

Forman and Foley began their relationship with the studio last year upon selling the spec-script The Fraud Prince – described as "a modern fairy tale." According to the trades, the pair recently finished working a rewrite of another cartoon-turned-live-action script that pleased the big cheeses over at Warners, The Jetsons.

Scooby-Doo 2 is currently set for a 2004 release. The first film's cast will be returning, along with director Raja Gosnell. The screenplay for Scooby 2 is penned by James Gunn.

Jetsons?? Scooby-Doo Trilogy??

I think the monkeys over at Warner Brothers are smoking too much of the hippie lettuce.
